We chose the cormorant hotel for the view. And we were not disappointed with that! Amazing location on the river banks with great vistas both first and last thing in the day. We were reassured by overall positive reviews and decided to take the plunge. At £135 a night, it certainly wasn't a cheap affair for where it was but...

Have just returned from a superb short stay at The Cormorant. It was a "Big Birthday" celebration for me. In fact my group took over the whole hotel (14 rooms) for 2 nights and we had a Special Birthday dinner on one evening. The service at the hotel was first class!!! Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were...

I booked a short stay here for our 34th wedding anniversary as a late booking. We absolutely loved this hotel. We arrived 2 hours early to a very warm welcome and as the room was already prepared we were taken there immediately. We had a superior room and it was lovely. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding fresh...

Arriving late, we were made to feel incredibly welcome, and the restaurant stayed open for us to eat. We were shown to our room and were blown away by the view! We made our way to the restaurant and ordered cod and the trio of beef. Both meals were exceptional. So tasty! We had desert too and were equally impressed....

We're just back from a one-night stay at The Cormorant. I was quite worried after reading reviews, but can safely confirm we had nothing to fret over! We had a double room with a queen-sized bed, with en-suite (bath & overhead shower), a couple of chairs and tea & coffee making facilities - there were homemade cookies too, which was...

We were quite disappointed, we found the hotel a big shabby . The breakfast was very good but the evening meals were varied from good to poor. The drive leading up to the hotel was very steep so much so that I couldn't walk into the village as I have a artificial hip. I will definitely do more research in...

We are sorry that you struggled with our access. Our location is magnificent, but is indeed challenging for those with limited mobility. The Hotel is perched high above the river, on a steep site, which gives us unique and lovely views, and tranquility, and our website does make clear that it is not suitable for those with limited mobility ....

On a quiet Sunday evening we enjoyed an excellent dinner at The Cormorant. the starters were first-class - real mushroom soup was very good, and the quail dish was superb. We all had fish for the main course, all different and all equally enjoyed, and the raspberry semi-freddo and chocolate fondant rounded off a very good meal at a very...

I am so glad you enjoyed your meal. Thank you so very much for taking the time to write a review. It is appreciated, and even to kindly mention those that looked after you. I hope it would be equally good whomever was serving, and whatever you chose from the Menu. We very much look forward to seeing you again.

Arrived at the hotel. No issues in finding it once we read the straight forward directions from their website. Spacious car park. Met by the receptionist who was polite but this appeared to be false and an effort. Shown the room which was number 9. It was dated with old fashioned furniture, it was in need of some TLC and...
