Went for Sunday lunch with family. The pub was very welcoming and the service very good. We all enjoyed our mains. Although the kitchen was closed, the staff had a word with the chef and he kindly offered to prepare us fish and chips. We are so glad that he did as...

Best ham, egg and chips ever and if that weren't enough the brownie is to die for. Relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with a lovely log fire, and very dog friendly. Definitely worth the long drive, as three visits in six months testifies!

A double bed filled the room with a kettle on the floor next to the bed seemed quite dangerous. Only one dirty cup 2 tea bags but plenty of milk. We were told...

Visited from Looe on the recommendation of friends living in Plymouth - and a very worthwhile trip it turned out to be. Lovely bar area, friendly staff and locals, dog friendly (in the bar only) and a cracking choice of Sunday roasts. So good that we returned with more friends from London a few weeks later who totally agreed. Well...

Walked in not expecting a table, they found space, had a really good meal, great staff, what can you say?, A really good experience. We had a rotten time with the previous management. Undercover Cornishman.
