I've been staying at this property since it opened due to the ability to walk from Terminal 4 to the hotel via a covered bridge (although it's quite a walk). Over the years the lobby area has changed quite a bit and the rooms were updated but may need a new refresh. The

Our preferred hotel when passing through Heathrow - and with good reason. They always try hard to please. The rooms are clean and everything works. En suite bathrooms are modern and have large showers. There is a 24 hour well equipped fitness centre. We only had breakfast - and

I was flying from T5 but the hotels closer to T5 that was of a similar standard to the Hilton was quiet a bit more in price. I arrived at T4 via the free train service running between terminals. It’s quiet a walk across the covered walk way but it finds take to right to the

There is a tube station in Terminal 4. From the hotel to the tube station is probably 10-15 minutes’ walk depending how quick you go. It’s covered all the way. From the hotel, follow the covered walkway to Terminal 4. Once inside the terminal, walk all the way down to the other end of the terminal then go down to the underground station (signposted). Ignore the signs for “trains to London” on the left as soon as you get into the terminal, as these are for the TFL rail service not the underground (although that’s another way to get into town).

It's not especially convenient for Terminal 2 to be honest, but there are a number of options: On arriving at Heathrow Terminal 2, follow the signs for "Heathrow Express fast train to central London". From that station, you can catch the free shuttle train service (operated by TfL Rail) to take you to Terminal 4 (it's about a 5 minute journey and trains run up to every 15 minutes, depending on time of day). Once at Terminal 4, follow the signs to Hilton hotel. This is along a lengthy covered walkway that takes 5-10 minutes to walk, or there is a courtesy phone at the start of the walkway, where you can call for the hotel's free buggy to come and meet you. You will need to do the same, but in reverse, the following morning. The rail stations have automatic ticket gates, as they are used by fare-paying passengers travelling to/from central London, but you can get a free transfer ticket from a machine which will enable you to open the gates at each end of your journey, or just ask a member of staff to open the gates for you. Alternatively, from Terminal 2, follow signs to the London Underground Piccadilly line. Once there, catch any train going towards central London and get off at the first stop, which is Hatton Cross. Cross to the opposite platform and catch a Piccadilly line train back to Terminal 4, then take the covered walkway as explained above. Note that not all Tube trains from Hatton Cross go to Terminal 4, so make sure you catch the correct train, otherwise you will end up back at Terminals 2&3 or Terminal 5!) This journey is also free, although you will need to "touch in" and "touch out" at each end of the journey with either an Oystercard or contactless payment card to open the automatic ticket gates. In the morning, you can walk back along the covered walkway to Terminal 4, follow signs for the London Underground and catch a Tube train directly to Terminals 2&3 (which is the first stop): there is no need to travel via Hatton Cross. Alternatively, if you do the via Hatton Cross option, there are also two scheduled buses, numbers 482 and 490 that run from Hatton Cross station back towards Heathrow. So get off the train there and the bus station is part of the Tube station complex. Catch either bus for just one bus stop, called Starlight Way, and they will drop you by the Premier Inn. The Hilton is located just behind the Premier Inn. This is actually a much shorter walk than along the walkway from Terminal 4, but you do need to go up a flight of fairly steep steps. This bus journey is also free, however, I'm not sure if you will be charged if you exit Hatton Cross Tube station. (You will definitely NOT be charged if you are only changing trains there). Note that none of these options are 24 hours, so if you are arriving much after 11pm or needing to depart before 6am, you may find that they are not suitable for your needs. There's a "Hotel Hoppa" service from the Hilton to all Heathrow terminals, but I think they charge around £5 for a single journey, and are not worth paying, when there are the free options I have outlined above. I hope this helps you, and if you do decide to stay at this Hilton, it's a very nice place to stay!
