Room was very basic but what more do you want for £35. Very clean and comfy bed I had a bath which was also a bonus. John at reception was so helpful couldn’t have done more to help me out. Across the road is a pub dinner which is also very good and you get 20% off when you stay here. I would very much recommend I will be back 😂👍 🏴
Took a while to get warm shower, went cold, hot, cold. Bath old. Room size was fine. Had kettle, tea, coffee, TV. Room nice and quiet, with opening windows and fan. No air con. Beds clean and comfy. Friendly, helpful staff
We have been traveling most of the week staying in Glasgow Birmingham and one night at this hotel. I never and again never do reviews but I think this one is needed. We checked in to the hotel and after noticing few issues with the room I went to speak with lady at the reception. Her name is Amy and she couldn't be more helpful!! I think it was her first day at the job but if this is what she brings to the team then well done to whoever employed her! Good job.!!! Nothing but professional and well spoken. She is a massive asset to the team and I hope she goes far in her career:) again thank you Amy for sorting us out and making our stay enjoyable. Simon AlarmTech
The room I first checked into (number 13, unlucky for some) hadn’t even been cleaned, returned to reception to inform them, the lovely man on the counter was mortified, obviously mistakes happen but he couldn’t apologise enough, soon sorted the situation and got me another room close to the other family members who were due to arrive shortly.
The room was basic and good for one night, my partner and I did not want to use the shower as the bath you stand in was dirty, the towels had stains on them and did not want to use them. Paid a little over the price than should of been for a dirty bathroom and cobwebs round the room
Stayed here for four nights in June 2022. The location is convenient as it's roughly halfway between Manchester and Liverpool, and isn't far from the motorway. There is a pub not far away (Lymewood Farm) that offers a discount if you show your room key as well. Hotel interior is a little dated, but is spotlessly clean. Front desk staff are also extremely helpful. Room interiors are spacious, and while the rooms don't have A/C they do provide a fan. The noise from the road isn't too bad either. Bathroom was great and provided plenty of hot water. Would stay here again.
the hotel is conveniently located just off the main A580. Rooms are clean and comfortable and road noise not bad considering the proximity to the road. Parking is good.Starbucks/ Asda small store and a pub in walking distance
Hotel was fine but a little tired. Reception was fantastic and listened to what we had to say. Particularly lovely was Julie- she filled us in on local offers and the discount at the restaurant and made us feel really welcome. What a star she is!
Friendly and helpful staff, nothing it too much trouble for them, housekeepers seem happy and friendly and John seems to be busy all day long keeping things ship shape. Although the building is showing signs of its age they manage to keep it spotless. I stay in Travelodges about 6 days most weeks and this one is one of the few that sing with commitment. Thank you
I have stayed a few times before in this Travelodge as all my family live in St Helens, so when I visit, this is always where I choose to stay. I only stayed for two nights at the beginning of May but had requested one of the nicest ground floor rooms and that is what I got. The bed was comfy and room was quiet so I was able to get some needed rest. The 20% off dining at the nearby Lymewood is very handy and much appreciated. What I have noticed though is that the staff are always warm, friendly and helpful, which makes me want to return and not look for other accommodation when in St Helens, however, in comparison to other Travelodges I have stayed in, both in the UK and abroad, the Haydock Travelodge could do with some sprucing up to bring it up to the same standards as its counterparts, in other words, some overdue TLC.…
