Overall we considered this hotel to be excellent value for money, and as we are likely to visit the Stockport area again in the near future, this will be our first choice, having tried most of the others.
As an institution, it sits somewhere between...More

We went on Saturday night to celebrate our ruby anniversary with family. There were 14 of us and couldn't fault anything. The food was lovely and the service friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and will certainly go back
This hotel is perfectly fine for what it is. The staff are friendly and it's clean. The downsides are that it is by a busy road, is under the flightpath to the airport and the water pressure for the shower is very feeble.

Thank you for your question. In terms of taxis from Manchester Airport I would personally recommend using a private company such as (Metro or Lynx) as opposed to the traditional British "black cabs" which are often much more expensive.
It is difficult to give an exact figure but I would expect that a private firm would cost just over GBP 10.00.
With regards to the train transportation, it is a little more tricky. As there is no direct train from Manchester Airport to Stockport you will need to go into Manchester Piccadilly and change - this journey can take about 30 - 40 minutes and typically costs between GBP 4 -8.
Although it does cost a little more I would personally recommend a taxi as it usually only takes about 15 minutes.
I do hope this helps, if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
