We stayed at The Mug house three years ago and decided to have a return visit, we were not disappointed ,we found it just as good as the first time. Checking in which was quick, we were shown upto to the room so we could unpack and go and visit some of the places we visited last time. The staff...

Stayed for 2 nights with two other couples and fortunately the weather was kind. This allowed us all to meet up, check in and then sit outside, on the river for a sandwich lunch. Lunch was okay but too much bread (very thick) The rooms were all what you would expect, clean and with good facilities. Dinner was disappointing considering...

Stopped for a night here with our two dogs. The room was lovely - roomy and comfortable. Staff were friendly and breakfast plentiful and very tasty. My only criticism would be our ground floor was quite noisy as its a very popular pub and location (right on the riverside) and the main thoroughfare was right outside our window.

Really warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and serviced excellent good and beer. We sat out the front by the river, lovely views of the bridge. It was a sunny day and nice to find a great pub to have lunch. Really enjoyed it there and would recommend to go. Big thumbs up!!

The staff are very friendly but the land lord does not not acknowledge you when you say hello and generally seems to prefer dogs to humans. The food is very good quality and the beer is kept to a high standard. The staff are willing to help and are very welcoming unlike the land lord who seems to run the...

Stayed here for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It's situated by the river and we were lucky enough to have a room overlooking it and enjoyed the sight of the members of the rowing club speeding past. We stayed in the Apple Blossom room which was at the top of the building with lovely views and had everything...
