We stayed here for three nights on a promotional offer and we're so glad we did. The hotel is easy to find at the top of the village by the market cross. Our room (No. 9) was a large attic room that was warm and comfortable despite the cold outside. The bed was very comfortable. This room probably wouldn't suit... More

Lovely, cosy, friendly hotel set in the beautiful village of Castle Combe. A warm welcome, comfortable lounge and bar. Booked a table for dinner, vegetarian option not so good but I heard others in the restaurant praising their meal. We followed directions for a 12 km walk starting at the hotel, a varied, moderately challenging walk. There is a pub,... More

We had lunch on a recent Saturday and despite the popularity of this hotel and restaurant we enjoyed an excellent lunch together with great service. Despite the hotel having to cope with a wedding party (that was running late!) the staff were attentive made us feel very welcome. The food was also first class and topped off a very enjoyable... I LOVE this hotel. Lovely food, great service. I've been back time and time again. I've also stayed in the hotel which is beautifully quintessential English. Castle Combe is stunning and although just a small village, is beautiful to walk around. The Manor House is fabulous with beautiful gardens which everyone can enjoy. Simply gorgeous!

We had our second stay on 25/10. This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are second to none and were all without exception friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are quirky but lovely as you would expect in a building of this age. We ate in the hotel in the evening and the food was outstanding, the breakfast was of the same... More

Took my wife away for a three day stay here after reading about this on TA. What a lovely place! We had a lovely welcome and were soon shown to our room ...room 8 in the roof space of the hotel overlooking the church. This was not one of the most expensive rooms, so weren't expecting too much, but it... More

Had lunch here 2 years ago when traveling from Australia. An early birthday lunch today, did not disappoint, great service, great food. This is my last visit to England, I will always have very fond memories of the restaurant. I also loved the style of bathroom fittings.

Nice clean room with crisp white sheets, our room (8) was in the attic. So had a lot of character with exposed beams. Lovely soft bed and big bathroom with units bath, separate shower, and basin aligned so that the shower cubicle had the most height at the roof apex. Breakfast was well cooked and there was plenty of it.... More

The Castle Inn reminds one of days gone past because of its location at the center of what was once a bustling medieval town that is now a charming little village. The service was excellent and our bed was not only beautiful, it was comfortable as well. The downside was that because of the age of the building, the floors... More
