What do you look for in a pub/ inn/ old coach house? I look for warm welcome, comfortable seating areas with fires where coffees served as well as alcoholic drinks and attentive staff plus great food at a reasonable price. Well we had it all at this one!! It is recently converted and redesigned to create a great space and...

For years this hotel has been run down, dirty, scruffy and the thought of having a meal there akin to torture. However at the end of last year it had a complete revamp and some new managers. The place had been transformed and a welcome relief to us locals who have been desperate for somewhere decent for a night out...

We live locally and have been impressed with the recent refurbishment of the Lansdown Hotel so when we decided to go out for dinner on the spur of the moment we thought we would give the restaurant a go. The main A la Carte menu is a little limited but we ordered from the bar menu which was good. I...

(This is a review of the bar / restaurant) Walked into this place last year and turned around and left pretty quickly without purchasing. Following a major refurbishment, it is now a really good looking bar and restaurant which served a nice pint and tasty lunch for reasonable money. I would certainly return - and this review is based on...

Went here for evening meal which was superb, I had Mussels which I love and they were some of the best ever. My wife is a vegetarian and was more than happy with her meal too. Clean & well decorated bar & restaurant area.

I stayed in one of the rooms at the front. It was a big room, recently decorated, but. It particularly well serviced. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast were good if you wanted a cooked breakfast. Quick and efficient service. Overall, good value for money.

The downstairs area of the Hotel is very nice with a Bar and dining rooms. The Accommodation is rather jaded with ferocious central heating which forces you to open any windows available. The picture shown above is of the premium room and whilst it has a Jacuzzi, it also has wall paper that is peeling away. Staff very pleasant however.
