Checked in, went to our room (8) Spacious enough but in need of a refurb (Black mould in bathroom, flaking paint, loose wallpaper) Also in need of a clean, (cobwebs on wall lights and ceiling) No cooked breakfast available, when I spoke to the very young duty manager who I believe was called Tom, this was because the chef couldn't...

Stayed here just one night between Christmas and new year, a little get away to blow the cobwebs off and enjoy the local scenery. We were really happy with our spacious room, located in the courtyard. Dog friendly pub and hotel which was perfect for us! Located in the centre of Hebden with easy access to public transport if you...

This is a lovely friendly hotel in the centre of hebden bridge with its own parking. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms (9) which was very spacious. Well heated with separate bathroom. Free toiletries provided. The bar was very cosy. The breakfast cost extra about £10 but was lovely. Recommended.

Very nice pub. Big roaring fires and hearty food to match. Good menu with plenty of local produce on it. Good food at a fair price. The staff were all very attentive and professional... they even lit another fire on our request as the room we booked to eat was slightly colder than the main rooms

Nice bars with an open fire in the main bar which I would imagine to be the most desirable place to sit. Lunch was excellent and reasonable value. Our only complaint was with the two young women with babies who didn't try to quieten them, I think the bar staff should perhaps have had a word with them.

Very spacious room with great en-suite.The night we were staying the flood siren went off so not many people around but meals were good quality with open fire in main bar and comfortable seating around it. Not cheap but would thoroughly recommend it and no complaints whatsoever.

This is a pleasant and lively pub just away from the main square in Hebden Bridge. The atmosphere is jolly, the beer well kept, the staff attentive and the food looks very good, we didn't eat. However all of this good was undone when a large white dog arrived. This dog must be familiar to the staff and was much...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The White Lion is a traditional coaching inn; with exposed timber and masonry, an abundance of comfortable corners to hide in, and always a warm and friendly atmosphere. Set on a riverside location in central Hebden Bridge, the inn has always been well known for fine country ‘pub’ dining, and its extensive choice of wines and real cask ales. All of which can be enjoyed throughout the year, whether that be in front of a roaring log fire, or in one of our scenic riverside cobbled courtyards. ... more   less
