Amazing, beautiful, tranquil in the city. The room was clean but smelled like it was just fumigated. We got over that once we had a swim in the pool and a nice breakfast. Just feet from the beach. I really appreciated the locked and guarded gate overnight.

I heard from many Nicaraguans that this was the best place to stay in San Juan del Sur. Keep in mind that this is not a hotel, it is an old wooden home converted into a bed and breakfast. Pros: good breakfast, little plunge pool, slice of history, A/C worked well, nice public areas to sit. Cons: small room only...

Location: Although a bit on the fringe of the town, it's more than close enough to the beach and any bars, restaurants and shopping you want to do since the town is so small. Grounds: The entrance is very quaint and has a very nice feel. The thing we liked the most were the handicrafts that were made by local...

We were very comfortable in our modest room which was "deluxe". We were happy to have the small front porch of unit 6. There was no TV and it was pretty basic but the a/c worked wonderfully and we greatly enjoyed the pool almost every afternoon. We had some dietary restrictions that they worked with us on for breakfast and...

We really loved our stay at La Posada Azul. I was with my husband and 3 year old son and we all enjoyed the hotel. We loved the decor, the honor bar and most especially the yummy breakfast that was different everyday. We also really appreciated the staff for being so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely check into La...

We really liked this place. It's not fancy but was very clean, the AC worked well, had hot water (not that one needs or even really wants it in Nicaragua), and the coffee and breakfasts were good. The pool was clean and the area around it very pleasant.

good location, hot water, ac, clean and quiet. At $100/night though it is about twice what other places charge including their own hotel next door. The rooms are quite plain(look at the pics). Things dont work as well as they should for that price e.g. wifi is slow, shower doesnt drain properly, warm coffee, unfriendly staff etc.

Wonderful, quant and well located hotel near the beach in San Juan del Sur. Rooms are clean and spacious, staff is friendly and helpful and the outdoor space is very well manicured and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was delicious. My only complaint would be the noise from other hotel guests. You can hear everything from neighboring rooms and if you...

This was a beautiful hotel: room was spacious and very clean. The atmosphere of the hotel is great, with all the nicely painted wood. The location is superb, just a few minutes from the beach and the other main streets. Breakfast was great as well, freshly prepared and delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful and spoke good English.
