My partner was sick so we wanted a break from the party scene and needed a quiet room with air con and a bathroom, which is what we got. The room was very clean and comfortable and the air con was bliss to avoid the heat. We walked in without a reservation and the ladies at the desk were happy... More

Perfect value for money. We stayed in private room, with bathroom (we payed around 35USD/night). Perfect space in the room, AC/ , confortable bed. Both room and comon areas were very clean. We didnt have a view from our room but we had a very nice balcony. No breakfast was included but there is a kitchen with all the facilities... More

I love to travel! The sights, sounds, smells that invigorate you as well as jostle you out of your current rut; better than that however, is the people who live and love in the country. This place is family owned and operated; they are thoughtful and helpful. The rooms are clean and the atmosphere is tranquil. You feel like you... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Romano. The rooms were clean, big and quiet. And the staff was really friendly and helpful. Its a family who runs this place and they also live at the hostel. Its just located next to the beach and all the good restaurants are reachable by walking.

We decided to stay here because it was recommended by a blogger, and it couldn't be better. The house is just a few minutes from the beach and next to the main street. The room and the bathroom were perfectly clean, and they also had a nice common area for relaxing after a day on the beach. We paid 20$... More

Rooms were clean but you had to pay for everything including towels. I brought my own so it was fine. It was quiet and when the air conditioning worked, it was fine. There was a power outage when I stayed and no generator at the hotel. Kitchen facilities onsite. No where to keep valuables in the rooms. Free wifi in... More

Having had to hunt around San Juan in the late evening for a place to stay, I cam across Casa Romano. They where happy to show me the two rooms that where available and even though I thought $60 a night was rather expensive (keep in mind this is the lead up to Christmas/New Years in San Juan) I took... They were great to rent a bike from. $30 for the whole day, including helmets and insurance. The motorcycle was in good working order and they were very accommodating when we wanted to keep it longer. Returning the bike was easy and the service always friendly. We'd rent from here again

Another return to the very hospitable Casa Romano, staying in one of the air conditioned rooms this time. Accommodations are basic, but clean and fresh, complete with kitchen privileges. It's a family run business, and guests are made to feel like visiting friends of the family. A very good value.

This is a great place to stay if you're not into party hostels. The location's still great and very close to the beach, but it is nicely decorated, calm, very well maintained, and very good value compared with a lot of the other places in the area. The younger couple are super friendly and kind, but the older lady is... More
