This place is a fantastic hostel with nice grounds, great pool, right on the beach and the house is fantastic. It's great to be at the party, but when it comes time to sleep this is about the best choice of places to stay. Chaley the owner was super friendly and nice to talk to. Oscars the man, though he'll...

This location is a secure gated environment that is located walking distance to the market. The kitchen, laundry service, pool, and dorms are excellent, clean, and in great shape. The atmosphere is awesome and my experience there was unforgettable. I recommend this hostel for travelers, surfers, families, and anyone who is looking for a cultural immersion in Nicaragua. I will...

Not our first choice when we arrived in SJdS, but we were very pleased and really enjoyed our stay at Yajure. Just outside of town, which we enjoyed. The walk from town in the dark is mildly disconcerting, but to stay out of the fray of downtown was enjoyable. Chele was a great host and told us great stories (often...

I've traveled a lot, and this was by far the most relaxed, chill, and welcoming hostel I have ever been to! I don't speak Spanish, and most of the staff don't speak English, and we still felt like we got to know them all! My boyfriend and I were planning on staying 2-3 nights max at this hostel, and ended...

Moved here after being unsatisified with casa de olas and really enjoyed it!! Pros: pool, air con, great kitchen & dining area, ping pong, tv chill out section upstairs, cheap dorm rooms, nice owner who organised surfing trips, taxis and delivered pizza for us. Close enough to town for nightlife and shops, far enough away to relax. Cons: lots of...

This hostel is chilled out And easy going. The rooms are good with AC and an extremely basic breakfast included (toast and coffee) but the staff are nice and helpful, and there is a pool. It's not far from town and the atmosphere is chilled out- a big bonus in SJDS! Only advice to yahure would be the bathrooms could...

Loved this place. It was a random experience in finding Yajure that turned out to make my Nica trip unforgettable. The people that both work there and stay there almost become a small family and if your lucky enough you'll even have a "family dinner" involving a good portion of the hostel.

A bunch of friends and I stayed here for a weekend, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The service was outstanding, the hostel was clean and well-maintained, and the amenities were awesome. The location is awesome - right on the beach, so the view was spectacular, and not too far from the night life in town. I would highly...

Beautiful location, chill atmosphere, clean rooms and good prices. Met tons of awesome people here and would recommend it if you want to meet nice, welcoming people and have fun and party with, but also chill out during the day or at night. I partied there a couple times but it definitely isn't a "party" hostel, which is ok by...

I've been really debating the best way to write this review. There are many great things about this hostel: the price is great, I loved the location across the bridge from town and the owner is really friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and most have a shared bathroom. They provide a/c at night which is a big plus....

“I have only stayed in the 6 bed dorm, but it was great enough that there was no need to switch it up. I think that this is the best that is gets as far as the sound of San Juan at night. The common room can get sort of loud from the bars downtown blasting music but the rooms are great!”
