Visit for a night as part of my Silk Road trip. The hotel is very new . Nice rooms.. very friendly staff. Some speak English . It’s a good 4 Star Hôtel . Definitely the best in town!!! Very good location on the Main Street.. and you can find nice food there instead of looking for local restaurants

We have spent 2 nights at this hotel. Hotel is dirty! Rooms were very small and we decided to move to other spacious room. This was also dirty. Room is dark, bathroom also. Towels were filthy. The rooms are never been vacumed, everywhere hair and other things from the previous guests!!! I'm not surprised that there are lice between the bed sheets. I couldn't sleep well and felt itchy everywhere. Hope that the manager will read this comments

I stayed there during the February celebrations at Labrang monastery. Hotel is well located, some 15-20 minutes walk to the Labrang monastery. My room was 8419 on fourth floor, overlooking the parking. It was quite spacious, well appointed, with all necessary amenities. Two water bottles per person were supplied daily. Bed was hard (normal for Chinese hotels, a lot of people will not like it), one of the pillows was also rock hard (filled with rice?!). Air was very dry, humidifier was provided (and refilled) every day. Bathroom and shower were OK - just lighting was a bit off, as one of the lights had a very short movement sensor. Unfortunately the room had a faint smell of cigarette smoke, however that was mostly gone when i opened the window. Free WiFi was available to guests and it works around the hotel (though one has to manually change WiFi access points to ensure the best reception). Speed was acceptable in the morning :-) Sleep quality (at least for me) was OK as i don't have a problem sleeping a night or two in a hard bed. Breakfast was Chinese, no international selection, but OK - we are in China. Name international in hotels name is just to make the name more "fancy". It started at 7:30am sharp (not even a second before). Only tea, hot water and milk were offered, no coffee. Actually lunch was quite good and exceeded the expectations. Now to the downside - noise - i know that the hotel was full during the celebrations, but guests were making a quite a lot of noise and every night, there was honking on the hotel's parking. Also note, that there are tea and dinner rooms on the 3rd floor, so 4th floor can get noise. This all could be an effect of celebrations. Location wise i would suggest a room on a higher floor (7-8-9), overlooking the street and not the parking. Room looked clean on the first glance but... I had a lot of issues with cleanliness of the bathroom as the toilet seat and toilet had urine stains. Room service also forgot to "prepare the bed" on one of the days. Both is unacceptable for a hotel of such a rank. To sum up... i guess this is one of the most comfortable options near Labrang monastery. Hotel itself doesn't stand out and has room for improvement. For a hotel of such a rank some things are just unacceptable. For example, cleanliness has to be enforced as a standard for ANY hotel. Also constant honking on the hotel's parking late at night is not acceptable. I had actually a pleasant stay, as room and food were ok (and would probably stay here again), and I would rank this hotel with 3 points out five (especially as one expects due to price higher standard), but due to cleanliness issues i deducted one and I rank it as poor.
