We were here with a small Snow Leopard group of 14. The Aviation is central in what is a very small town and as good as anything here, I suspect. We had a sort of suite, bot with the most incredible ceilings, but with a typically Chinese bed that could have been concrete. Lovely dinner, ordinary breakfast. I'd stay here again
We stayed at this Hotel as part of a group tour. The hotel is located in the centre of town so you have plenty of walking opportunities. There is an excellent t bakery nearby. The rooms were very big, excellent lighting, plenty of seating and places to put you packs. Breakfast was basic and the aircon worked as it should - separate unit with it's own control. We were told that it's the best hotel in town!
not too many choices in this area , not a modern hotel, but it provided us relatively good services, convenient conditions and it was far better than we feared, so we have to judge it honestly in comparison with the alternatives, and give people a fair guidance, which we believe with all reservations are good, although with western eyeglasses you do not see the 4 stars, but they shined weel enough for us the two nights we stayed.
Average from all points of view. Not many options in this area so this is considered the best option. It certainly needs some renovation. Very difficult to communicate in English. Not so friendly staff.
This hotel is touted as a 4 star but in reality it is more of a 3 star in terms of comfort and facilities. The rooms are a bit dated, and have a somewhat stale smell about them, with beds that are on the harder side for China (recognizing most beds are hard). The room was heated to the maximum via the central heating and it was very difficult to cool down - we ended up opening the windows to balance the temperature. The breakfast is a choice of Chinese or Western. We opted for Western and had toast, fruit/veg (tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, and a banana) , fresh yak yogurt, fried eggs and either instant coffee or tea . The location is about a 10-15 min walk from the main shopping area and the monastery. There is a good la mian place directly opposite on the 1st floor. Staff were friendly and helpful though.…
