The positives: the staff was friendly they provided baked goods at all hours with help yourself drinks in the frig. The negatives: Inn was dated. At one time the furnishings and decorations would have been charming, but after many years of usage, the carpet was old and needed to be replaced. The furniture was scratched and well used. Upon arrival no one was there to greet us and help us with our bags. As their was no elevator, it was challenging to get our luggage up the stairs on our own. Breakfast was in a charming room off the main entryway. The service was chatty and friendly. The issue we had was one of listening to our order. We were vegetarian as we indicated on our arrival sheet. That was ignored as meat was on our plate. We politely asked to have it taken back and a meat free dish provided. After apologizing, the chef brought out a second dish with the same meat on it! Apologizing again, we finally just asked for cereal.…
This has been our 5th time at this inn, and we are never disappointed. The owners, the staff and the chefs are all so nice and friendly and very accommodating. The inn is charming, cozy and beautifully decorated....and the same could be said for the room that we stayed in. In fact, all the rooms we stayed in were equally wonderful. The breakfasts are super delicious, and sometimes we barely had lunch afterwards because we were so stuffed from breakfast. And there are always a table in the entrance foyer laden with scrumptious freshly made pastries, cookies and cakes. My wife and I highly recommend Westwynd Farm.
We stayed at the cottage for one night after a busy day traveling from Rhode Island. There was ample parking, convenient self checkin (although we did meet our nice hosts the following morning). The cottage was big, well ventilated and cool even though it was a hot day. Very clean and lots of amenities. We loved our home made breakfast. What a great start to our day. The scenery was a lovely bonus.
We have stayed at the Inn many times over the years and it never disappoints! Beautiful rooms, fabulous breakfasts, and Frank and Carolyn are always gracious. The Inn is so warm and inviting that we never want to leave! And a visit to the barn to see the horses is always a joy.
Our visit to The Inn at Westwynd Farm was absolutely wonderful! From the minute we arrived until the minute we left we felt calm and relaxed. The common rooms were welcoming, our room was beautiful, and we had everything we needed and then some. As an added bonus there was a barn where we could visit the horses, as well as, some other friendly animals. Drinks and a variety of home baked snacks were available at all times. We loved our visit and will definitely return.
This was our first visit and it was wonderful! The home was very clean, they had many wonderful amenities. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff was friendly and helpful! We hope to return and we would definitely recommend staying here.
Beautiful Place! We were welcomed to a variety of Homemade Baked Goods, and let me say they were sooo yummy! The room was nice with a spa tub to soak your bones from a great day of adventure at Hersey which is just a few miles away. They had everything you needed even supplied drinks and snacks whenever you needed them. They have a book with great recommendations for local dining and entertainment. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, pancakes, sausage, etc. We will be going back for sure!
We spent our 24th Wedding Anniversary at The Inn at Westwynd Farm. Our room was off one of the sitting rooms and had an entrance onto the patio which looked into the koi pond and water feature. The room itself, "In Our Time" included a bathroom with all the amenities, king size very comfortable bed, an incredibly relaxing Jacuzzi, and plenty of space to move about. We loved that the sitting room was stocked with soda, beer and wine, pretzels. It was lovely sipping a beverage while enjoying the view from the patio. The staff is exceptional! Coffee, tea, and baked goods are always available. Breakfast accommodates individual needs and preferences. I was very impressed by the chef's use of fresh herbs and her willingness to share her recipes! Location is minutes from Hershey Park, Chocolate World and many excellent restaurants. (Shout out to Piazza Sorrento - incredible Pasta Primavera!). The gardens, horses, and the way this Inn goes above and beyond expectations to make sure guests are cared for makes it our new favorite and one we hope to visit again soon!…
What an unexpected find! The Inn is a true gem quietly tucked away on a rural road in PA horse farm country. Approaching it reveals a lovely, slightly sprawling two-story grey and white building with chairs and tables on individual patios, balconies, and porches. Inside, the warm paint colors and woods, large common rooms with fireplaces and comfortable furniture and antique decorations, and signs everywhere welcoming guests generate an immediate feeling of being home- away-from-home. Large windows and glass patio doors look out onto meadows where horses can be seen grazing. The owners and staff are clearly dedicated to making guests feel comfortable and satisfied. A table with home baked cakes, cookies, and muffins is always available, as well as snacks and any type of beverage, including beer and wine . The rooms, arranged for maximum privacy, are immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with antiques. Peter, the Chef, is solicitous in ensuring each guest receives the best food. The various packages available to celebrate special occasions are extremely well done. This is the perfect place to celebrate any special occasion or to just unwind.…
The inn could not have been any better. We had our wedding here and we stayed in the carriage house. The carriage house was perfect! Fridge had water, soda, juice pouches and beer stocked. The house had everything we needed and then some. All the beds were extremely comfortable. Our wedding could not have been better. Everyone at the Inn was so helpful in making our day perfect. The provided minister was amazing as well. Kathleen made sure my cake was the dream I always imagined of. All of our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful this property is. Both mornings our breakfast was delicious and left us all stuffed. We can not thank the staff at the inn more for everything they did during our weekend here. We plan on being back and spending our anniversaries here.
