Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We wanted something close to Hershey, so we picked this hotel. Big mistake. There was a hockey playoff for kids. Loud, rude kids-parents couldn't have cared less. The place is dirty, needs updating, now. The manager is a gem, he should be at an ascend or cambria, not this place.

Hotel's Favourite
The rooms are older rooms but very clean. The breakfast area is updated and they offer many breakfast choices. The staff is very kind, and attentive. I needed to switch to a handicap room and they made the switch easily without complaint. It's nice they had a recliner in the room and a walk-in shower. We were there for a church conference at the Hershey hotel and it was minutes away as were restaurants. I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Terrible stay. Side doors are not locked at night - did not feel safe at all. Yup, anyone could just walk in the door at any time & right up the stairs to the guest rooms. Who would know! When I asked about that at the front desk, the person told me "we can't lock them, but we have security cameras in the stairwells - not true at all - there are NO CAMERAS!! Breakfast was barely warm every morning at 6am & never changed in 7 days. I'd imagine by 7am it was totally cold. The bathtub paint was peeling. The shower caulking was awful. Paint on tub/shower fixtures. The beds were uncomfortable, pillows too soft & mushy. The sheers on the windows were dirty. You could see into the room because there were missing bolts in the door. The manager didn't seem to care about anything, polite, just not caring - and looked at me like a deer in headlights when I addressed the above! No apology, just lame excuses! I spent close to $3000 for 2 rooms for 7 nights & I will never stay there again. BEWARE!!!

It's a weird street into the hotel, and parking can be a nightmare, but the hotel was amazing. Very new (or refurbished, not sure), and very nice, along with decently priced. The only issue we had was that we didn't have any extra bedding for the pull-out sofa in our room, so I went down to the lobby to get some sheets and a blanket and an extra pillow. The front desk person could not hear me well because there were a group of high school girls that had congregated in the lobby and were super loud. So I do feel that they could have reigned in that noise a bit, to make it bearable for other guests. They were so loud my nephew had to cover his ears while walking through the lobby. The noise echoed a lot and the workers didn't do anything about it. Only took us 15 minutes to drive to the Hershey Park from here, so it was perfect.

I checked in late at night after Hersheypark. The hotel is clean, my room was nice with all the basic amenities. The beds were comfy and I had no problem sleeping. I woke up the next morning and got breakfast. There was four waffle makers with cinnamon maple waffles and plain waffles. They also had banana nut muffins, blueberry muffins, coffee, yogurt, pastries, juices, pancakes, etc. Instead of regular water, they only had lemon water, which I hated, so I was annoyed about that. Other than that, I had a great experience!

First visit for two nights, August 1 - 3 / one adult three teens for a visit to Hersheypark. Positives Staff all friendly & helpful Great location off interstate very close to Hershey Park Next to many restaurants and stores Rooms Are slightly bigger than some others I’ve been in and also had a sleeper sofa and and table, which helped with the third teen so she could sleep by herself Nice standard breakfast included Nice indoor pool And exercise room. Price was good as hotels in Hershey are very pricey, especially in the summer Negatives Had a very damp feel to the room, especially my clothes, felt damp, even the floor felt damp Mattresses need updated; Not the worst but definitely not as good. As a lot of other hotels I’ve stayed at recently Shower and bathroom are outdated and need updated. Not what I would call gross but not real welcoming either. Next time I would look for some other hotels first in my price range, but if I didn’t find any, I would probably stay here again it would just be nice to have more of a modern, updated feel.

I gave the Comfort Inn a five star review based upon the fact that this is a no frills paired down hotel at a very reasonable rate compared to other properties in the area. The hotel is not new and the furnishings in the rooms are a little dated, especially the TV which was a little disappointing because it was small and did not stream. However, the room was immaculate, with extremely comfy beds and great pillows. During our stay it was over 90 degrees outside and the air conditioning worked great and kept us nice and cold. Most importantly the shower water pressure was excellent. This place was exactly what we needed since we were visiting Hershey for a Festival (Music in the Parks) so most of our time was spent at the park ( and then dinner at the Capital Diner, after the park closes which is our favorite restaurant in Hershey). The morning breakfast at the hotel was just OK since the eggs were flavorless and the coffee a little weak. However, there were also bagels, toast, muffins, sausage, yogurt, cereal and waffles and a variety of different juices to choose from which were all very good, especially the waffles. My only real complaint is that I have teenagers and breakfast ended at 9am. I wish it was opened till at least 10am, especially when the park opens late so that they could sleep in. However, the frond desk and breakfast staff were very nice and friendly and there was an indoor pool. We did not use it but it seemed to be very clean and it would be fun for kids at night before bed to tire them out.

This location is under construction. I was aware of that before arriving. We did not have any issues during our overnight stay. The breakfast options were a little limited, compared to other hotels with similar price range, but still nice to have a hot breakfast. I hope that once the construction is finished and the rooms have been updated, that it will be nicer, since a lot of it is dated.

Let's start with the positive! The front desk staff was very friendly. Sarah was especially helpful. The gentleman that attended the breakfast bar hustled and was cheerful! The room, 722, was tired and in need of some love. I escorted four wood bugs (I don't like them but they aren't the scariest!) out the door and flushed one stink bug. I hate those! There was no way to close the curtains completely so the room streamed the outside light. This hotel also failed on my one pet peeve....I wasn't thanked for choosing this hotel and in that area, I had many choices. I came into Hummelstown to help a friend whose mother had unexpectedly passed away. All of the work was not completed and I may be in the area again. I won't stay in this hotel again.

How do u serve breakfast 6-9 on Saturday. What family is waking up that early Sunday morning after a full day at Hershey the day prior. Just a way to limit how many people they feed with their “free breakfast”. Also be aware that if you’re staying here Saturday you’ll be paying more than double their usual prices. Oh and Pool doesn’t work
