A visit to Oak Cabin in mid-winter found us scurrying to the door to escape the freezing temps. As soon as we stepped inside, I knew this getaway was going to be special. The owner had prepared the cabin--Flames dancing in the propane fireplace greeted us, and we looked at each other and smiled. So, more facts: one row of...

Very rarely have I written a review but this exletienve was one I share. It was just marvelous. I stayed in one the cabins on the property. Just in need of a break. I read all the reviews. None of which could have adqueatly prepared me for the splendor of it all. It was comfy, it was cozy, warm, inviting...

Just came back from a whole week stay, and we have been coming here for about 6 times over the past 15 years. Such a great place. We stayed at the Pine Lodge but they are all pretty similar. Spotless, pretty, private, comfy, well stocked kitchen, plenty to do in the area year-round. Owners were very attentive before and during...

Stayed in one of the individual lodges for a Cherry Springs weekend with friends, and the place just felt out of a movie. So warm and fuzzy, exactly what you want out of a lodge....wood paneled walls, fire place, little crevices with an interesting architecture, patio. Staff was available via text, it's totally family run! We never actually saw staff,...

My first trip to the lovely area of Rte 6 in northern Pennsylvania! The fall foilage on the mountains was exquisite this fall day in mid October. Rough Cut Lodge exceeded my expectations. Very clean, well furnished, white towels, yellow fluffy blankets, immaculate, homey. Fun! We made a campfire in one of the many charming firepits our first night and...

My family and I were looking to stay close to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and Cherry Springs State Park and Rough Cut Lodge was right in the middle of it all! There was also a market, a few miles down the road, where we grabbed some essentials for the few meals we prepared. We stayed in the Birch Cabin which...

Our family loved this place. It has large grounds with a little creek and a play ground. Lodging options vary according to budget. We took the cheapest option of rooms in the main building. They are spacious and they all have a nice view. The property is not staffed but is very well taken care of. It made us feel...

We usually go for hotels with full service. So when we booked this place we had a lot of doubts. It was self check in and the property was unstaffed at site. But everything worked out seamlessly and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality f the facilities. The rooms we booked were the lowest priced ones. But they were...

We spent a long week-end here with friends. Located along Pine Creek not far from PA Grand Canyon. Beautiful setting, wonderful accommendations. Spotlessly clean, nice furnishings and all the conveniences of home. We had a two-bedroom suite (No. 5), one bath, kitchen/living room combo. The pictures shown online are exactly what you get. Would highly recommend a stay here.

“I loved the oak cabin, but the bathroom is up the flights of stairs, so I'd do Maple next time. But the Oak was pretty large for a cabin.”
