We really enjoyed our stay at The Witherup House. Ann and Marty were very hospitable and gave us great advice on restaurants and hiking. The breakfasts were amazing. There was fresh fruit, homemade bread, salami and cheese, yogurt, granola, and eggs and toast.

We stayed at Witherup on a Labor Day weekend couples bicycling trip. Marty was a very gracious host. When we arrived he invited us to unload our bikes and store them in the garage overnight. Then he gave us a guided tour of the historic home, as he pointed out very interesting features and provided some history. The bedrooms were...

I set out on a bike trip along the great Allegheny Valley network of trails that extends from Emlenton to Titusville, staying at a b&b at the southern end for nights 1 and 4 and at the Witherup House on nights 2 and 3. The trail is on the other side of the river from Franklin, but there's a protected...

My wife and I recently completed our annual Franklin Bike trip and stayed at the Witherup House. The owners Marty and Ann were tremendous hosts as we spent two nights at their B&B. We were treated like family and the hospitality was very much appreciated. I normally do not stay at B&B's but this experience was truly amazing. I would...

I was very impressed with the variety of high quality local foods for breakfast. Service and friendliness of the innkeepers was wonderful. Nice spacious rooms. Very clean. Great location to downtown. No private bathrooms but that was okay. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you are into great local foods.

We've been going away for a day or 2 for years for our Anniversary/Christmas. Our Anniversary was 3 days before Christmas and our daughter was getting married 3 days after Christmas. We weren't going to go away this year, but at the last minute, I remembered traveling through Franklin, PA in the summer. I looked up B&B's there and gave...

A group of friends from college days spent a weekend here and were thrilled with the experience. The proprietors, Ann and Marty, could not have been more welcoming and warm hosts. Their home has a strong sense of history, filled with interesting art work and lovely details. The living spaces had extensive libraries, and the rip-roaring fireplace made us never...

My husband and I stayed here in July with my parents and two kids, ages 10 and 12, and very much enjoyed our evening. Ann was so very accommodating: willing to take us for only one night, setting up an air mattress for the kids and generally providing a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The house is clean, the front porch...

Our family of four stayed at the Witherup House and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were well appointed, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast delicious! The front bedroom had a lovely second floor porch for enjoying the cool breeze. It is only two blocks from the park by the river and very close to a bustling downtown with restaurants,...
