This little motel is a two-minute drive from Liberty Mountain Resort, at a third of the cost of the Resort rooms. The low price is reflected in dated decor and some mildewy smell (which improved when I opened the windows). The proprietor was polite and helpful, and let me stay a little late after 11 am so that I could...

This is a small (10 rooms) older motel. Fine for the purpose of staying near Ski Liberty or visiting family and friends in the area. The baseboard heat did not seem to function and the air conditioner/heater took a long time to get the room at all comfortable - and the night was not too cold. Nice that the hot...

We'd spent the day at Gettysburg Military Park and wanted something close by so we could go back the next day. MDH found this little motel on line and it was a decent price so he booked it. It is very small-maybe 10-12 rooms. No sign of an ice machine or no breakfast offered. We like to walk to dinner/breakfast...

We were attending a wedding at Liberty Resort and unable to get a room there due to everything being booked at the resort. This was close by, within five minutes. The convenience was wonderful! The room was adequate. The air freshener smell was overbearing. I would not recommend this property if you are planning on staying in the room for...

We stayed here for one evening over the reenactment weekend at Gettysburg when rates there are ridiculous. Very wise choice! Here at the Fairfield Lodge for only $72 we had a very clean bedroom and bathroom - with plenty of hot water, a parking space right in front of our room, nice cold mini fridge, a wall unit a/c with...

I enjoy visiting Gettysburg, but the town can be very busy and congested. This little lodge is located 15 minutes from town and that's close enough for me. The rooms are clean, the atmosphere quiet, and the management most helpful. Also, Fairfield is loaded with history, given it lies along troop movement routes. What's to not like? I'm going back.

I loved this place when we first arrived. So homey quiet and cute. Even the bathroom felt like home. Nothing felt like a motel to me. I was in awe right down to the screen doors and benches outside for relaxing. What more could you want. That was before I kicked off my shoes and I walked barefoot across the...

This is my 3rd or 4th visit to this location, and each time I have found the room to be clean and a quite location. Yes, this is s small older motel and rooms are small, typical as built probably in the '60's but clean and comfortable, expected provisions. Nice shaded area with picnic table across parking area from rooms....

I wanted to get a room here because the reviews were good. It was very late notice and I didn't have a reservation, I called looking for a room and the owner said she had one left, she was willing to wait for me to arrive which I felt was very accommodating since it was so late notice. We ensure that all our rooms are clean and nicely kept which has been duly appreciated by a large number of our esteemed guests. However this customer did not stay with us and we did understand the reason. We will however look into the matter. thanks and regards

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The proximity to Ski Liberty is fantastic as are the rates. I've reviewed a lot of lodging and while this place is not upscale it is great as a throwback motor lodge. They do the best that they can with older rooms and it was perfectly fine for my needs in Fairfield, PA.
