I had an amazing visit to Highland Farm, which is a historic place -- the home of Oscar Hammerstein, who wrote his amazing musicals here. You can stay in his master bedroom or his study or in other themed bedrooms. The innkeeper, Christine Cole, is so welcoming and accommodating, giving you privacy while being available for information about the surrounding...

"Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day!" No wonder Oscar Hammerstein wrote these lyrics here - in his wonderful home for 20 years. From the moment you walk in thru the front door and see the baby grand piano (with Hammerstein's music there to play) you know you are in a special place. Our hostess, Christine, did...

Booked this B&B via the telephone with the owner for a weekend stay in October 2016. From the 1st contact though multiple changes to the reservation dates she was professional, courtesy and accommodating and followed up with a email confirming each change to the reservation. We booked the Oklahoma Suite which was 2 separate rooms with a full bathroom in...

One of us had this lovely farm on her 'bucket list' and our stay was special indeed - coming as it did on Oscar Hammerstein's birthday. Dr Cole, the owner, offered a warm welcome with good wine and cheese, wonderful breakfasts, and just the right amount of attentiveness. We had the run of the place the two nights we stayed...

We stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed our visit and were expecting to experience at least the same, but were disappointed to see that the property and home have not been kept up or invested in since our last visit. The inn keeper was very friendly and set out wine and a few small pieces of cheese and...

I've become a regular here for business and love the natural get away feel while being so close to town. Genuine delight, quiet, gracious, spacious place to stay. Innkeeper better than any, bar none. Historic place makes this place superb!

Recently my wife and I had the great pleasure of spending a weekend at the Highland Farms Bed and Breakfast. Once the home of Oscar Hammerstein, II, this place has been lovingly restored and maintained by it's current innkeeper. Located on 5 acres of rolling landscape this home is welcoming and comfortable while at the same time, it surrounds you...

My husband and I went to Highland Farms for Valentine's weekend. We arrived and there was a bottle of white wine and an assortment of cheese and crackers. We toured the home since we were the only ones staying that weekend. We stayed in the South Pacific room, this is the room that Oscar Hammerstein and his wife Dorothy slept....

Two of my girlfriends and I planned a girls weekend in Doylestown and found Highland Farm while looking for a quaint B&B. We hit the lottery with this location. The innkeeper was so warm, kind and accommodating. She made an extra bed up for us and she went out of her way to made sure that my friend had a...

Oscar Hammerstein II's house is a wonderful B and B, just outside downtown Doylestown. Owner Christine elegantly oversees the house and amenities, and prepares a stellar breakfast. The King and I bedroom is Hammerstein's former study. It is large and beautifully furnished. The property has a pool. The single item that is out of place is regular road noise from...
