Thank you so much for your kind words! I am so happy to hear that you and your daughter were able to spend some quality time together here with us! It is wonderful to see not only couples but girlfriends, mother/daughters, and others come and enjoy some time here at Gateway Lodge! I must agree, the restaurant is pretty amazing!...

We visited the lodge for the first time for my boyfriends birthday. We were very impressed with not only the lodge but the staff! Wish we could of stayed longer than the one night. We highly recommend the restaurant as well. Look forward to visiting again.

We just spent 3 nights at the Gateway Lodge with 2 of the nights being a Murder Mystery weekend. The Gateway Lodge is a great getaway to one of the best wilderness areas in Pennsylvania. This was not our first visit to the Gateway or nor will it be our last. Although the lodge’s outer appearance may have a somewhat...

I am so glad to hear that you were able to enjoy our Murder Mystery Weekend as much as I did! This is by far my favorite weekend of the year and I love to see many of our little sleuths running around putting the pieces of the puzzle all together! It is just hilarious to watch as slips of...

This is our second stay at the Gateway Lodge. Are you looking for great accommodations? Excellent service? Jaw-dropping food? And, a wine cellar that would leave most city restaurants jealous? The Gateway Lodge has all of those things and more. Visit once and you'll return.

Three days in Cooks Forest, with fabulous lodging and meals at Gateway Lodge, were exactly what I needed after 2 grueling weeks in the rat race of NYC. Thank you Debbie and staff for always maintaining consistent quality service!!

My husband and I spent 3 days at the Gateway Lodge in mid August. This was our 6th visit to the lodge (one stay was in a cabin) and we can't wait to go back. The minute we walk in the door, the busy world fades away. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the dining room offerings delicious, and every...

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! It is wonderful to hear that we are indeed doing our job by ensuring that our guests are able to walk in and let the "busy world fade away." That is indeed the goal of every member of our staff. The forest is amazing and we want our guests to forget about...

We have stayed at the Gateway Lodge in the past and it is a really excellent place to stay while visiting Cooks Forest and the surrounding area. We stayed again this summer and we skipped the suites to try one of their new, remodeled Gallery rooms (Why not?). The difference in price between a gallery room or a suite is...

I am so sorry to hear that you were disappointed in our newly renovated Gallery Rooms! The old rooms to the bed and breakfast were renovated to create a wonderful room full of the warmth of the forest. The rooms offer wonderful rustic furniture of reclaimed maple and oak furnishing that is just beautiful. The rooms have been enlarged to...

I don't know how they do it, but they've found the formula for the perfect get-away. You're out in beautiful Cook Forest and you feel truly free of the daily regimen. Cell coverage is spotty and there aren't TV's (at least in the luxury suites), which allows you to turn your focus on what's around you and the experience Gateway...

The Gateway Lodge is not roughing it. This is a truly rustic luxury. This is our second summer at the Gateway Lodge. The staff was courteous and the food was excellent . Cook's Forest is a diamond in the rough. Longfellow trail is a beautiful hike amongst giant hemlocks and Tom's run. The crystal clear Clarion river has Kayaks, canoes...

My husband and I recently stayed at Gateway Lodge after a day of tubing and canoeing. We checked in and were given a personal tour of the lodge. Staff was friendly. The room was comfortable. No cell phone service, but happy to get away from the hectic world and no children allowed! They do have wifi. The restaurant was not...
