I made the reservation for this hotel over the phone, their website is clunky at best. The location is really good if you plan to visit Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob and Ohiopyle State Park, but that is the only benefit of staying here. The price for the room was not expensive, the AARP rate was around $78 plus tax. However, the...

On a road trip through Appalachia driving from Tennessee, it was the only place since WV that would take my sister and me for an after midnight check in. Very hospitable, good room, and lake view, we were very pleased with our last minute reservations.

First of all, there are very limited choices for hotels/motels that allow pets in the area. We were stuck with The Lodge at Chalk Hill. Please allow me list the complaints for this place: 1. The lobby stinks of body odor, food and dirt. 2. The room was very musty. 3. The toilet would not flush. 4. We reported the...

I made a reservation for two nights over the phone. I spoke with a man. Upon arrival the lady could not find my reservation and acted like i was lying. I finally ask her if we could get a room, she said we could. She did up the price from the phone I was quoted on the phone. I thought...

I spent 5 nights total there at $90 a night. The entire time I was there I only saw one other couple stay. The staff treated guests like they are bothering them, not as paying customers and the reason they are in business! It is an Indian family who owns it and they are extremely unpleasant. Beyond that, it is...

Very nice and courterous staff. We had the king suite with stove. Very clean and nice. Maybe only concern walls thin depending on your neighbors of how loud the door slams!! The bed was made everyday for us when we returned. there was a coffee pot but no coffee so bring some stock. Refrigerator was provided.

On entering the Office to register, was hit by a foul odor. Recognized the same odor in the room. Pouring rain so couldn't leave the doors open to air it out. The room was quiet and seemed clean enough, but couldn't take the smell.

We had to stay in the area due to a wedding we were attending at nemicolin but didn't want to pay those prices. The room was simple but clean. The staff was very friendly. It was perfect for what we needed. The deck with a view of the lake was and added bonus. They had a continental breakfast that was...

My husband and I just had a mini get away to Ohiopyle and stayed at The Lodge at Chalkhill for the weekend. We booked our room online for a pretty good price. Once arriving, our check in was extremely quick and easy. The room itself was really clean, I was impressed because after reading some reviews my hopes weren't very...

Just arrived home from a weekend in southern PA. My husband was invited to a "team building" white water rafting trip with co-workers. We live the furthest away---6 hours---so I chose to travel with him. Looking online before we left, I was unsure of our accommodations. (perhaps older than I am use to) However, I was very surprised--room was basic...
