Dave (front desk) was helpful and friendly. Check in process was very easy. Appreciated the "details" in the bathroom like the hand-painted toilet and sink and the mirror. The inn hasn't had a facelift in awhile, I'm sure, but these little things made our room quaint rather than just "tired." We enjoyed the stay. Dave was helpful and bent over... More

Whether you are intending to visit Wildlife Safari or just passing through I can heartily recommend this place. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the service is superb. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and you are made to feel welcomed as soon as you walk into the lobby. If we are ever back in the... More

Large rooms and comfortable beds. Great stay. Check in was quick and everyone was friendly. Loved the themed touches to the rooms. A lot of places to eat in town for a small town. Close to the wildlife safari which was a amazing thing for the family

We wanted a place close to the Wildlife Safari and there are only 2 hotels in Winston. The room was clean and spacious but there was a very strong disinfectant odor when we arrived. All the furnishings are very outdated. They advertise free hot breakfast but as of today that was discontinued for the season. We were not aware of... More

Hot breakfast is back for guests at the daily rate, but subject to variability until our kitchen remodel is complete. See our website for details. We're excited to have purchased new restaurant equipment to expand the menu! Thank you for your patience!!! More

Seems like a mom/pop lodging. They are pet friendly, including a Costco dog bed in the room which our dog loved. The room was average sized, but seemed like there might have been a memory foam pad on the bed that made it pretty comfy. Pillows were ok. There was a small fridge that kept everything nice and cold. Room... More

Ok. $80 L shaped room, two sofas, 2 easy chairs, King Bed, Table with Chairs, and long counter with chairs. Huge Bathroom and everything Spotless ! Management emphasizes they want you to be quiet . Whole place is Non-Smoking.. and they are serious about it. I arrived dead tired, and probably getting ill, on a small motorcycle. No bad eye.... More

We chose this hotel because it is close to Wildlife Safari. It was clean and it was a good location. The beds were fine and it did have a small refrigerator for keeping soda cold and a microwave. All in all it gave us what we needed. That said the walls and ceilings were thin and the people above us... More

A mid level motel that is the best in the town. Rooms are adequate if you don't worry about the finish type touches. I would stay there again, but it is only a place to spend the night, not the day. No pool. Safari motif is pleasant if you have kids and are intending to visit the Wildlife Safari venue.... More
