I recently stayed at this resort with a few friends for a weekend getaway from Los Angeles and it far surpassed my expectations! If you're looking for a picturesque resort in an peaceful setting with close proximity to skiing, hiking, wine tasting and top notch restaurants in nearby Portland all with top notch staff this is your place! From the time we arrived, Mr. Lee and his staff provided us world class service, going above and beyond to help us with activities, dining and any extras we needed. They truly made us feel like royalty! The resort is over 400 acres and even if you don't golf, the course offers stunning views and onsite dining. I hiked at the nearby national forest along the Salmon River while my friends drove about 20 minutes to ski. The next day went wine tasting at a few wineries in Willamette Valley and dined at a chic farm to table restaurant in Portland. The guest rooms featured cozy fireplaces and patios with views of Mt Hood. Perfect relaxing getaway with the BEST staff!…
Resort is located about 20 minutes from Mount Hood ski resorts, and was easily accessible to Willamette Valley for wine tasting and downtown Portland for dining. The resort has lots of activities - three golf courses, stunning lake and Salmon River for hikes, tennis courts, basketball courts, pool, hot tub, and a full spa (closed for COVID), bar/restaurant. The views and natural surroundings are stunning - I hear it's a popular wedding spot. My room was very spacious and had a large living room area with a fireplace and a large balcony overlooking the pool. My room was very clean and comfortable, and I like that they provide separate recycling bins in the room and a Tesla charger. The staff was very attentive and had great recommendations for local hikes, activities, and ski resorts. I'll definitely be back!…
I basically live out of BW hotels racking in 200-250 nights a year. Even during this pandemic. Everything at this hotel is still shut down either because they are taking advantage of COVID or they are seriously incompetent. This is a premier location and is seriously over rated. This location is still not serving breakfast or even coffee. When I asked the front desk, they said oh well we haven’t even hired anyone to run the coffee bar yet. We plan on hiring in April. Really? How is this acceptable? This hotel can’t even figure out how to open an out door pool. I frequently stay at the Hood river BW and have been using their outdoor pool for months now. They also have an indoor restaurant that would at least run room service.... they fully opened last month to dine in. This is the case for other best westerns in this area as well. Right down the street in Sandy, that BW has a indoor pool that you can use. So this location has no excuse other than incompetence or taking advantage of COVID-19. I know I won’t be staying here again and I’m seriously rethinking giving BW my 200+ nights a year if they allow businesses to run like this under their name.…
It’s definitely not a resort. It’s a motel. The hotel is dirty. I had bugs in my room and cigarette burns in the blanket. And they tried to upgrade our room & it was just to another dirty room. Location is fine but everything in the hotel was not good.
265 + tax + fees (don’t use Expedia) no hdmi leave games at home, cold upon arrival and the up button broken (go high to heat the room), dinner prices are crazy just book timberline, old-fashioned devices some plugs don’t work
