Comfort Inn Columbia Gorge maybe outside the hustle and bustle of the city the Portland, but it's close enough to the things you need including multiple restaurants and an outlet mall shopping is not too far away as well in Gresham, and Wood Village. The restaurants include to truck stops one with a traditional restaurant, and one with grab-and-go food, also a Shari's and some other fast food choices in the area. In a pinch there is a Dairy Queen across the parking lot from the hotel's front entry. Freeway access is super convenient, and doesn't seem super loud from the rooms. Beds are very comfy have a good night sleep is nearly guaranteed. The late check-out is very very nice much later than most hotels offer anywhere. This is a must stay place if you want to be near the city but not in the city. This facility is our go-to when in the area. Keep up the good work Comfort Inn…
I made a reservation and tried to pay cash when I checked in. Ivan the desk clerk told me he just had to swipe my card and I could pay cash when we left. Then he told me my card was declined because he tried to charge the stay to my card. That would be why I was trying to pay cash, to save myself a trip to the ATM. He told me it had to go on my card, so I dutifully left to find an ATM. After doing that, I arrived back at the hotel to find our clerk talking to a girl trying to check in. She was also explaining that she only had cash. He immediately called his manager to get approval to take her cash. WTF? Then why did I have to drive around looking for a way to put money on my card? The room itself was fine, but the laundry service was broken and all the amenities were closed. I understand COVID, but why am I still paying full price for things I am not getting? Housekeeping never came and my husband had to ask a housekeeper where we could throw our trash away.…
Let's start positive. Bed was great and I had a good sleep. That's a lot relatively speaking, but lots of disappointing events. First, I was told they had a pool and that it was open. The pool turns out to be an outdoor jacuzzi, and it was shut down. Got to my room and found the coffee machine. It was partially full from the last tenants. Thought I'd use their tube of moisturizing cream. It was ALREADY half used. I was also told they had a continental breakfast. Nope. A take out sack of not so good items. I did this trip with a friend on our motorcycles- on arrival, he opens up his assigned room, and the bed doesn't even have sheets on it. His breakfast sack included a green banana, and a brown-sided, bruised orange. What the heck- this is not typical of Comfort Inns that I've stayed at before. Attention to detail sorely needed.…
We stayed only one night. Reception provided us with masks and water, breakfast is served from 5 a.m in individual paper bags. Everything is clean, beds are fresh and comfortable, there is tea and coffee in the room, and everyone is happy to answer any question. We were impressed by hotel staff and how they manage their hospitality at this time. Well done, thank you.
I liked the carpet free flooring for the pet room we stayed in. I also like that the toilet and shower are separate from the sinks rather than in one spot for easier use by more than one person. The pet room was on the first floor and towards the back for easy out to the pet area. They also gave us dog treats. If you have a pet, this was a good place to stay, but if they are full, it can be like the kennel where one dog passes by and they all erupt in barking. Overall we were happy with it as a quick stay required us to bring our dog.
