We had another fantastic experience at McMenamins Edgefield! We were visiting when the snow had stopped and the sun visited for a few days in mid-January. The hotel service was exceptionally good. Every person we interacted with who was an employee smiled and made sure our experience (at the front desk, in the restaurants, in the gift shop) was fantastic....

Ruby's spa is amazing. The soaking pool and massage we had were amazing. So relaxing and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it whether you stay there or just visit for a few hours. The Black Rabbit restaurant has decent food but without fail you will wait and wait and wait and wait for your food. I don't think it...

We've been stopping at Edgefield for meals in the Power Station for years. We have never stayed in the rooms. This was our first time at the movie theater. It was NYE, we were driving in from the Gorge for an airport drop off to make for an 11:59 flight. How to deal with the wait times for a table?...

Pre-Christmas get-away. Oh what fun, a cozy room,( paid up for a room with a private bath), over the Library wing. If you love art, this is your sweet spot. Our bath was huge and room not overly dressed. The sitting areas and bars tucked here and there gave it the ambience. Book ahead, we tried to get the same...

We enjoyed the Soup of the Day (Tomato Bisque), Chopped Salad, and Hamburgers and Fries. The service was excellent. The food left nothing to be desired. The bread that was provided as an appetizer was quite good also. We stopped at the gift shop on the way out and made some fun purchases there also. We decided to come back...

McMenamins does a nice job re-purposing poor farms, old schools & typically historical unusual dining/lodging spots in Oregon. Very few guestrooms have bathrooms and or a sink in the room… In most cases it's a shared restroom down the hall. Like an old house you hear your neighbors and people wandering the halls, but that's part of the charm of...

Not a cookie cutter hotel. Edgefield is a destination. give yourself time to explore and experience all that it has to offer. Bathrooms are European style, shared, but don't let that scare you. Plenty of dining and walking options, a wonderful headquarters for exploring Portland.

I've been coming to Edgefield for well over 10 years now and have always had a great time and ate delicious food. Unfortunately my girlfriend and I came into the Black Rabbit bar a couple of days ago and had a really bad experience with the bar manager. We ordered two apps and a couple of drinks. They brought the...
