If you are expecting a franchise type lodging, you might be disappointed. The rooms are not the most modern, but they are large and clean, the beds are comfortable (pillows not so much for me), and the bathrooms are large and had nice, fluffy towels. Rooms on the back side had a view of the Rogue River and we loved walking along the beautiful river. Might mention that there are no elevators to assist with getting luggage to the second floor rooms. Enjoyed our stay there.
I really enjoyed the night I spent at the Edgewater Inn. Our downstairs room was on the river side and with sliding door open you could hear the sound of the water (as well as view many rafters float by). Our room had a small sitting area with a gas fireplace and loveseat with coffee table that made for a comfy reading spot. A high point was the front desk lady being willing to use their back room freezer to refreeze the ice packs we used in our cooler -- as the room didn't have a very large freezer portion in the refrigerator. One thing to note with this hotel is the 4 PM check-in time -- a bit later than most. I'd suggest arranging your travel time to account for that, as the comfy room was worth a short wait.
The Rouge river runs right behind this hotel - ask for a river view room! Staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Also very helpful. Stayed here as this was the "closest best place" to Crater Lake for our dates". Convenient to food, gas, etc.
Nice place to stay is a very small out of the way place. Room was clean and a good size. Had a couch and coffee table in the room, besides the bed and bathroom. Bathroom was nothing special, but it was clean.
