Our daughter was turning 22 and we knew the weather was going to be great, so we splashed out and paid for the penthouse oceanfront (clock tower) room (over $400 for one night. Check-in was good our room was available early. BUT, we were stunned by the overall lack of maintenance and cleanliness. There were broken fixtures in the bathrooms. Broken tiles on both bathroom floors, with dirt deep in the cracks. Mold in the grout all over the bathroom. Sticky stuff on the shower door. Gum stuck to a lampshade. Stained dust ruffle on the king bed. Large hole under the small bathroom sink, next to an area that clearly had experienced leaks. In the era of Covid-19 and the attention most facilities are dedicating to EXTRA cleanliness, this hotel fell far short. It's inexcusable. The only reason I didn't give this one star is because the hotel manager, Wendy, listened very kindly to me on checkout and was able to get me a substantial refund on our stay. This hotel needs renovation and upkeep. I advise staying elsewhere.

What you see in the pictures they advertise and what you get are not close to accurate. I normally don't do reviews but felt totally mislead when deciding to stay here. I think some of their oceanfront suites may be on the nicer side but our room needed some serious help. Carpet old and stained, mold/mildew in tub grout, s of those you'll be parking across the street or on the street. Oh and no microwaves in the room either but there is a community microwave on the 3rd floor if you feel so inclined. Apparently I wasn't the only one who wasn't happy with their room as when I went to the office to complain the office attendant was on the phone talking to a guest who wasn't happy with their room either. She asked what she could do but all the other rooms were booked so I told her apparently there is nothing you can do. Then after checking out I get a email saying to make sure and leave a positive review here or where you did your booking. But if your dissatisfied with your stay to please send a email or call instead.....seriously!🙄 The location is wonderful as it's right on the prom and close to all the shops. It has great potential but I feel the owners must be really tight with their money because for what they charge they should have plenty for some renovation work.

The location is great on the promenade- close enough to town but far enough that you don't hear all the foot traffic of the promenade. The room was super clean- we stayed in the Shell Seeker and had a great view of the ocean. The beds were well made including the pull out we requested, as well as clean bedding and towels and everything smelled fresh. The mini fridge in the room was very helpful and the front desk staff were super kind and even brought us more blankets while we were out of the room! The only part that was annoying were the people who were above us either had kids running around or were heavy footed- but that can happen anywhere. I would stay here again- super peaceful and great.

Exellent location location and the view from the Seaside Beach room was stunning. The furniture was nice, carpet... eh.... but my biggest complaint, was cleanliness. The first thing I noticed when I used the restroom was pee on the baseboards around the toilet. There was also a layer of dust on the wooden sides of the sink, and the jets in the tub had a orange slime residue around them. I was a little pissed as we paid over $450.00 for 2 nights. Here were also random hair on the toilet, the bed,, etc... This place would have been perfect if the cleaners would just pay attention to detail... The bed was pretty uncomfortable, but that is not a big deal. My issues is we are in a pandemic, and the cleaning was sub par at best. Would I stay here again? Yes. I just hope the manager reads this and speaks to their maids, as this place could be awesome if cleaning habits were stepped up. Overall tho, I was happy.

The check in process was pleasant, the view was nice and the towels were new. Those are the positives I can post. The room was a bit musty, furniture was mismatch (& not the shabby chic Eclectic look) the bed post had tape around it. I pulled the sheet back because the room felt dirty to me and I found hair. The carpets were stained. The room layout was funky. It felt like it used to be two offices put together. The back room had a window to the hallway. The back room is the room with the tub. There were TV wires hanging, the window right by the tub had a screen half out and was extremely dirty. The fireplace didn’t work for the first 24 hours. When I called about the fireplace I was given a $20 credit. There wasn’t a maintenance person available due to the holiday. What I didn’t care for was the attitude I then received. I expected a little bit nicer. Will never book here again and will make sure anyone going to seaside is aware.
