The staff was the BEST! They accommodated our crazy requests before, during, and after our stay. We spent 6 nights at this beautiful and comfortable hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated with artwork from local artists and stocked with luxurious towels and linens. My husband raved about the comfortable bed and wonderful shower. We didn’t hear anything from neighboring rooms! Took advantage of the discounts at the Mercantile! Great location in downtown Portland. Easy walk to places of interest. Everything within blocks of hotel. We’ll book again when we return to Portland!
We stayed here on our last night in Oregon. Family of 4 , wanted to chill, eat well, and get to the airport the next day. This place was fab. Welcoming, great drinks, yummy food nearby, easy access to donut shops, beautiful and spacious room and super cool vibe. Staff was superb.
My family's two-night stay (July 2022) at the Dossier Hotel was excellent. This is a great hotel at a very reasonable price. It provided for that boutique feel and charm right in busy Downtown Portland. I was initially considering the Lucia Hotel (both are owned by Provenance) but wanted to be a bit closer to Pioneer Courthouse Square for the easy access to transportation and perhaps slightly bigger rooms. In the end, those two considerations probably didn't matter all too much (Lucia is only two blocks further away). While the rooms were nice, it was the great customer service that was most impactful for our stay: 1) We were always greeted by the staff at the front desk as we left or returned to the hotel. 2) They were always quick to retrieve the car (valeted) within 10-15 minutes. 3) The staff were always friendly. 4) We had an issue with our room (toilet flooded) and they immediately moved us to another room. 5) I had forgotten my camera tripod in our room when I left Portland to return to California and they quickly tracked it down and shipped it back to me. Huge thank you to Tristan, Carl, and the staff that helped to get me my Manfrotto tripod back! And many thanks to the entire Dossier staff that helped make our latest family trip to Portland a fun and memorable one!…
Grant and the staff we’re accommodating in anyway they could be with restaurant and drink recommendations. Room was very comfortable and the bathrooms fantastic! Even had a welcoming social with free drinks. If I ever come back to Portland this is the place!
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Old world charm. Clean room, comfortable beds and pillows. Super large bathroom. Staff very friendly and courteous. Good value. Only negative. No bar or restaurant, but plenty right in walking distance.
Welcome to departure, 100% top notch hospitality received. First adventure since pre-covid (SFO/PDX), the Dossier team made me feel right at home. Thank you! Grateful for the experience and will definitely be back again for a visit. Super clean and comfortable. Unexpected heatwave was forgotten upon entering the doors, greeted with AC, cold water and friendly faces, thanks to the staff!
This hotel is lovely. The rooms are fresh and spotlessly clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the location terrific, super close to the Portland Art Museum, and an easy walk to Washington Park, Powell's Bookstore, Oregon Maritime Museum.
We stayed at Dossier in late June in a corner room on the 17th floor. The view was fantastic (even from the bathroom!) and the room super comfortable and classy. There was an issue with our room not being ready when we first checked in, but the staff were super nice and figured things out very quickly. Great location! Parking nearby in garage was easy.
Dossier Hotel is a jewel in the city! We were welcomed with two local craft beers during our check-in. The man at check in (a local, he told us he was born and raised in Portland ) was so nice and helpful. Gave us a lot of ideas on areas we should visit. He upgraded our room to a higher floor and king corner. The room was spacious and elegant…great bathroom products and towels. The bed & pillows are SO comfortable. The Dossier gets 5 stars from me!
We loved the service, and the location was perfect for the concert we were seeing at the Arlene Schnitzer Hall. And ironically, location was also nearby all the places we planned to eat! Totally accidental there, but pleasantly surprised nonetheless. Staff was kind and incredibly accommodating. The rooms were beautiful, and quiet too. Check out at noon is a rarity, and we were so thrilled that Dossier has noon checkout. We didn’t utilize the cocktail hour and breakfast but when we stay there again we will. You’ll love your stay here!
