The hotel is smack in the middle of happening Portland. The room with a kitchen was very handy for a couple traveling with an infant. Staff are lovely and the 5 pm wine tastings are a nice treat to guests. Loved the place!

Great downtown location, near Powell Books, Kenny & Zuke's Delicatessen, Blue Star Donuts (go early!) and Al's Den for free (pass the hat) entertainment. Value continental breakfast including fruit and good coffee. There's afternoon tea & cookies and a wine hour, but who has time for that with all of Portland to explore?

The newly remodeled room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. The furnishings and crown molding gave the room a feeling of casual elegance. Our room faced an interior court; so we only had a view of the other side of the hotel; but we weren't it during the day. We will request a corner room or street view on our...

Pearl district hotel near transit, Bolt bus from Seattle, Powell's Books, Whole Foods, and a range of $ and $$$ dining options. Very walkable and safe neighborhood. Impeccable furnishings and service. Library and wine tasting, simple but ample continental breakfast. Will stay longer next time.

Lovely, non-traditional setting. Cozy apartment living feeling in the heart of downtown Portland. Loved all the extras; morning continental breakfast, afternoon coffee, tea & cookies, evening wine tasting and available 24 hours are water dispensers, tea and use of a great latte/espresso/coffee machine.

The Mark Spencer is perfectly located near Powell's bookstore and other Portland destinations. Everything is perfect with this hotel, and it has historic charm too. The breakfast is very generous with selections of yogurt, fruit, cereal, and breads, plus juice, coffee and tea. Rooms are clean, quiet, and furnished with care. Beds are supreme.

Comfortable stay. It was nice that they offered a futon . I had 2 teenagers with me and that made it so much easier for sleeping arrangement for each of them. I didn't have to park cuz I rented a car for daytrips and returned it at night and the car rental is walking distance which made it so convenient.
