This hotel was a great choice. The morning breakfast choices were good: eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, toast, juice, coffee, toast, bagels yogurt. The hotel was in an industrial zone, but it was still close to downtown. Next time, definitely plan on using the local transit. Just easier and no worries on parking fees
If you upgrade to the king deluxe suite with jet tub, there is no jet tub and this room is defintely not a suite. On the plus, the place is very quiet and clean with rocking wifi, the bed is great and fur babies welcomed. In fact all other aspects of the place are above average. if I booked a regular room I'd probably be quite happy, I just wish I could have gotten the room I thought I was buying.
We were away on a weekend family trip and rented rooms here in case we had to bring our dog. Staff was accommodating but the rooms were very dirty, smelled of urine, and looked as though they had not been vacuumed in some time - as there was pet hair embedded in the carpet. The bathroom was not cleaned well, but luckily we had wipes to do a quick wipe down and disinfect. Sadly we will not be choosing this hotel again.
In Feb 2021 I called the Wydham reservation line and requested a reservation for a La Quinta in Mississippi. When I did not receive a confirmation, I contacted that La Quinta and was told no reservation had been made yet my credit card had been charged. In researching the charge, I found it had been initiated by this La Quinta in Portland, Oregan as a no-show under a last name which was not mine. I contacted this La Quinta and explained to an individual who identified herself as a manager that I had not made this reservation and requested a refund. She stated she would call me back. She did not. Filed complaint with credit card company. They received response from this La Quinta which included false information. Filed complaint with Better Business Bureau who contacted this La Quinta numerous times without a response from them. I hope this management is proud of their ability to scam a military retiree. Please note I was required to choose a what sort of trip and when did you travel. I did not travel there.…
The hotel was easy to find and not far from downtown Portland. The staff and service was excellent. I just with the curtains were able to fully close during the night. Besides that, an excellent/budget place to stay, enjoy!
Stayed there for 32 days. Staff was great. Rooms were clean and nice. I felt very safe being there. Love that they allow pets. I met some very friendly and loveable puppers that made the stay that much more enjoyable. I also am glad they have a hospital discount. It really helped.
Our room had a used tissue on the floor by the bef. We noticed our first morning, it’s not ours. So clearly room wasn’t well cleaned. We put our maid service sign up and when we returned at 2 it wasn’t clean, so I went to the desk, explained and told them I expected it cleaned, at this point wasn’t upset I just wanted it fixed. We returned at 6 and room is still dirt and front desk will do nothing but say sorry and talk to manager in the am. We’re spending $250 to sleep in an uncleaned room they apparently refuse to clean. Now I plan to contest my hotel charges, this is BS in a pandemic to accept a dirty room.
While in an industrial area not thought of for where you would want to stay, a place we never considered in our years of having to stay in Portland...LaQuinta in NW was an oasis. Attractive decor, comfortable and spotless room, pool, substantial breakfast and our dogs were welcomed with dog biscuits, a dedicated dog walk and easy access to reach it and even "poop bags". Parking was great and the easy access to NW Portland and all the highways made it our future #1 choice. The industrial noises never penetrated the walls...all in all, we were totallys surprised we never considered this place before.
We arrived late in the evening and appreciated that the desk was manned all night. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast had a wide variety of food. Near railroad tracks but we didn't hear any trains. Nice pool and hot tub although we didn't try them out.
No internet, system was full. And very poor signal inside making work or just browsing pitiful. "High Speed Internet" is promised and I would not have reserved had I know that could not handle a simple task that they promised. Door keys failed to work several times. Standing in the hallway waiting for front desk. Repeated problems getting the door reader to accept the keys. Otherwise clean and comfortable.
