The Sentinel has a great location, only blocks from Powell's Books, Jake's Craw-fish restaurant and our favorite, the Kure juice-bar, to name a few. The staff is uniformly helpful without being stuffy, while the valet service was super-useful in that part of town. And check out the photos in the hallways; see how many famous people you can identify. We...

The Sentinel is perfectly located in central Portland. We were upgraded to a King room with a fireplace, it was spacious for two people and four luggage. The bathroom was spacious with nice fittings and the tea and coffee making facilities was excellent! The hotel also had a Starbucks on the Ground floor, although terrible coffee it was very convenient...

We were spending the weekend in Portland between business trips and needed a change in hotels before heading to Seattle. We chose this one by the rate offered on Hotel Tonight. I always like to call to see if they can offer the same price. Most hotels are more than willing to do this but not this one. We could...

Beautiful old hotel in the heart of Portland. The rooms are nice. Especially enjoyed the fireplace in our room. The fireplace in our room didn't work so they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a much nicer room.

This is a boutique hotel with a soul. Rooms recently renovated, friendly staff. Restaurant and room service available in hotel. Target store across the street if you forgot incidentals. This was helpful when I got snowed in during my last stay. Walking distance to downtown and Pearl district attractions. I have been a loyal patron for 10 years, and highly...

Walk to everything from here, and return each day to a very comfortable and clean room. Solid building with no noise through walls or doors. Cool restaurants and bar downstairs. Great mattress, and a very solid sleep.

Nice boutique feel. Great rooms. Very convenient to have a Starbucks connected to the lobby. I stayed on the side that had the street car, but the hotel supplied ear plugs which I ended up not even needing. It was just a little bit noisy. I will definitely stay there again when I head back to Portland!
