I've been here for almost 7 months...... The management here is extremely argumentative and outright lies to your face. Changing service times and blame YOU for not knowing even though they provide NO notification. They are cheapskates when it comes to services...breakfast is only prepackaged items and there is no evening meal, even though the last Residence Inn I stayed in {Plano, TX} started full meal services the first day they were allowed. Excellent people there!!! But I don't believe the management at the RI at PDX could even learn 1/10 of this. STAY ELSEWHERE!!!!!
Only good things to say about this place. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The room layout was very homey. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was ok, individually wrapped items kept warm so you didn’t have the gummy bread that microwaves produce. Be aware that even though you are nears lots of restaurants and shopping, they do charge for parking . Would definitely stay here again. Great place for before or after flights from PDX
An “airport” hotel with no van service. Other hotels at the airport were running vans. No help from the staff when I called from the airport trying to get to the hotel. Charges for “incidentals” of $20 and $50 even though we did not purchase or use any hotel service. Was not made aware of these charges at check in nor were they in my bill a checkout. Now I have to monitor my credit card to make sure the charges are removed.
we returned here all masked up for a trip to family last thursday....again we stayed overnight for an early flight the next morning....ray was the clerk, and he was so funny and friendly again.....the room was real clean, quiet, and has blue recycling containers.......thx so much
When we checked into the hotel, our rental car somehow locked itself with no one inside while it was still running. The staff went above and beyond to help us track down someone from Budget (even using personal contacts to help us get service). On top of that, the location was really great for us to get up in the morning and be right next to the airport. It's not very walkable but it's a short Uber into the heart of the city where you can find great food and shops. Other than normal airport noise of planes (and even that wasn't so bad) it was a really nice and quiet hotel. The rooms were really large and at a great price. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Dissappointed that after 2 years they still don't offer shuttle service to airport when several others do. Biggest issue was the room cleanliness. Big fail. Didn't look like mirror in bathroom was never cleaned, the shape bottles were almost empty so they weren't checked and the toilet had mechanical issues. Almost changed rooms, just wondering what other shortcuts were taken. I woukd try my luck at another facility the next time I am in the area.
We come to Portland often to visit my son who lives here. This is my favorite hotel to stay in. It is comfortable, convenient, and reasonable. It has all the amenities that a Residence Inn typically has. (washer/dryer, pool, exercise equipment, basketball hoop), the breakfast and shuttle has restarted after a hiatus due to COVID. I love that it is next door to a Target,a train stop to the city and has on-site parking. The staff is very nice and helpful too!
we haven't flown since before the beginning of the pandemic, and wanted to visit family via plane....we stayed overnight to catch a plane last wk before thanksgiving...masked up and checked in, as well were other customes/staff...the clerk was real nice and friendly.....the room was real clean and quiet....recycling is available in the blue buckets in the room...again great place and staff...thx so much....
Stayed for one night with my family of four in a 2B unit. The good: Check in was easy, although mobile check in didn't work this time. Was assigned room at end of hallway on third floor. Unit was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we were expecting. Staff were very helpful. Great attitudes at night and during day Asked for late check out of 2pm which was provided Complimentary parking and a visible security person walking the grounds outside. THE BAD-(but as advertised on their website and throughout hotel) All common areas are closed due to COVID. Pool, fire pit, sitting areas, morning breakfast. They did provide grab and go breakfast with breakfast bar, yogurt, orange juice and mandarin oranges. THE BAD (not advertised) The People in the room above us were really loud at night and in the morning. Must have been a family with kids as they were running, jumping all over at 7am. Hard to control that All in all enjoyed our stay here and will for sure consider staying here again.…
All the amenities are shut down - even the fire ring in an area surounded by miles of concrete (but the gas grills are open?). No hot tub, skimpy paper bag breakfast, front desk clerk (Ray) was rude and when I said I was going to leave a negative review he said I was threatening him and refused to talk to me any more. Room 219 was horrible. Door to bedroom would not close (it was off the frame). Smelled horrible upon arrival like they were trying to cover up a bad smell from previous guest. Clearly they are just shutting down all services in an attempt to save money. Am staying right now in a Mainstay Suites hotel and I sat in the hot tub last night and made myself a waffle for breakfast. Avoid this property and look elsewhere.
