Great stay. Convenient location next to airport if you’re trying to travel. Incredibly clean, nicely upholstered, modern rooms. Delicious breakfast as always with Holiday Inn Expresses. Fantastic service all around. The nicest s hotel stay I’ve had in quite a while.
Holiday Inn Express Portland Oregon airport. If you have an early flight or a late flight and you want a shuttle service that will not happen at that hotel, The times are 4:00 AM -4:30 PM. The rooms are clean and nice shower, beds a little hard for me
Modern. Clean. Good internet! Nice room layouts. Staff very helpful (Jerod & Natalia at desk, Jeanne at breakfast, others whose names I have yet to learn). Breakfast is good. Some options for vegetarians like me, which is rare. Walking distance to a Subway, Target, Chipotle, Wendy’s, and a bit more to the shopping center and IKEA. Good fitness room. Laundry room ($3.50 wash and $3.50 dry currently, quarters at the desk). Super close to the airport (shuttle, one stop on the transit system that also goes to downtown Portland, Beaverton, and more). I hate to give it a good review as it may fill up and keep me out, but they have earned it.
We needed to stay close to PDX for a very early flight and this hotel was perfect. Great value, seemed new, shuttle to the airport (sign up in advance), great bed and friendly staff. Room and bath were extremely clean and very spacious. Walking distance to Target, a few restaurants, the rail stop. Many Covid restrictions still in place, the pool was closed. Overall great visit.
Stayed the night before a morning flight. Convenient location, 5 minutes to airport. Had a full breakfast. Nice room. Target, Wendy's and a few other places on the same road. Ate a good meal at the Sheraton close by
We stayed here twice in July 2021. The reception and our rooms at this Holiday Inn Express were outstanding. The room was clean and bright as were the public facilities. The Covid drawbacks included a "breakfast" with lots of sugary items such as pre-packaged muffins and donuts as well as some yogurt and fruits (apples and oranges). There was absolutely nothing in the way of protein or non-sweet items. Except for the fruits, junk food was all that was available. Another drawback was a common one in the Covid environment and that was that rooms were not serviced. On one occasion when we stayed two nights, we had to ask that fresh styrofoam coffee cups be delivered to our room. We asked in the morning and were promised that they would be delivered. They were not. When we asked on our way out for dinner, we were told we would have to pick them up at the desk on our way back. That's a picky thing to complain about. But the tone in which it was presented was something like, "Well, what are we supposed to do about that?" At least something in the way of apology would have been nice. As we had to turn in our rental car late in the evening, we asked if there was a shuttle to return us to the hotel. We were assured that the shuttle was on call (several hotelsl share one shuttle) and would be at the airport within 10 minutes of our call. A half hour after we called, we finally just took a cab. Then we were criticized by the front desk staff member for leaving before the shuttle got there. So - nice place to stay. But don't expect much in the way of anyone being thoughtful.…
All that one could want in a hotel by the airport. Fast, courteous check in, super clean, comfortable beds, great water pressure and convenient location. We were sad to learn that the pool was closed due to Covid, but that is part of these times. Thank you, Holiday Inn Express!
Checked in before 3pm which was lovely. What wasn’t so great was that the key didn’t work and I had to go down to the front desk three times and on the third try the front desk clerk told us we were in the wrong room so they switched us and of course that key didn’t work either. Shortly after we unpacked , someone unlocked the door and was given the same room as us! The front desk blamed it on digital check in, the new method, which obviously doesn’t work! Well to make matters worst at about 9:30 pm some else tried to open the door of our room and again at 11:30 pm! We thought to ourselves how many people went into our room while we were out to dinner!! Holiday Inn , you can do better!!
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express after an unfortunate experience at another hotel and could not be happier. The check in was pleasant and the staff were friendly. We were upgraded after we were sent to a room already occupied, or not ready for the next guest. The following day, the bill was reduced by 25 dollars for that small inconvience,, which was an unexpected surprise as we were not expecting that or the upgrade at all. They want the business and work to make guests happy. Will make the Holiday Inn my go to place while traveling from PDX. Great job.
This hotel was very near the airport. maybe too near. check in was easy, but i quickly learned i had been given the wrong room. I didnt even go in and it was quickly fixed. I had really looked forward to a relaxing swim and workout (no reason not too since the previous 2 Holiday Inn Expresses within 200 miles from here both were open). WRONG. both were closed. Then we were informed that there was no breakfast. just granola bars and yogurt. since I was going to be spending the entire day in airport lines and on planes which also serve no food I was not very happy. The room itself was fine. It appeared very clean The room lighting was good and there were enough outlets. However ALL the USB ports (all 4) near the bed were broken. not one would accept a phone charger. THe bathroom was nice enough and was very clean. good water pressure The bed was very comfortable. THe TV was large, but apparently they were having cable issues. I was given a TINY little scrap of paper with instructions to turn on the TV. I forgot my magnifying glass but eventually we figured it out. NO channel guide was available. THe AC worked well and was quiet. initially there was a fair amount of airplane noise, but only one took off during the night so it wasn't all that bad. If it had been really busy It might have been a problem There is really nothing nearby except the airport and FBI headquarters next door. We had to drive quite some miles to find any real restaurant. Overall there was not one thing that was really that bad, but compared to the previous 2 nights at other Holiday Inn Express hotels in the general area I was missing the experience of those hotel.…
