Portland is a great city to visit. I definitely recommend staying downtown as there is a wide range of restaurants, shopping and activities to enjoy. The Courtyard Portland City Center is located in the heart of downtown. If you plan on staying in downtown there is no need to rent a car. It is very walkable and if walking is...

Hi Lance, Thank you for your nice comments about your recent stay with us. Of course we agree with your recommendation, that staying downtown is the best way to experience all the great attractions Portland offers visitors. With Voodoo Donuts being just a short walk from our hotel, we certainly see many of the "Pink Boxes" in our lobby...yum. Thanks...

We enjoyed this quaint hotel. The room seemed a little small, but it was cozy . The bed was comfortable. The staff was wonderful, the parking expensive at $40 but we knew it ahead of time. The rate for the room was fair. Having The Original attached was a great choice for food.

I stayed here every week for 8 months. Not once was my room not sparkly clean, all items stocked, and everything working. There's cable on TV for basic and premium channels. There are 3 types of pillows you can request for maximum comfort. There is a little market in the lobby for your last minute needs such as medication, drinks,...

We stayed for just one night. Husbands attended the Auto show(Just across the Burnside bridge) and ladies shopped. Shopping and Restaurants all within walking distance. Valet service was great. Very easy to use. We included the valet parking in our room rate. It saved us about 13.00 for the one night stay. Check in was extremely smooth with Alicia. She...

Dear tripmember2014, Our location sure was perfect for you to enjoy downtown shopping while your husbands visited the Portland Auto Show at the convention center. With the MAX Light Rail just across the street, our guest can easily take in events at the convention center or the Moda Center and still enjoy staying in downtown location. Thank you for sharing...

What you expect from a Courtyard. Professional, clean, comfortable lodging. The location is excellent, near awesome food trucks and a short stroll from Voodoo Donuts. And, more sensibly, the light rail to the airport. Attached restaurant "The Original" is just ghastly on every dimension (separate review and photo on that) and costs the hotel a point.

Found this to be a terrific place to stay: right on the MAX line (so you can easily take it from the airport), comfortable beds, good shower, very large bathroom, 3! grip bars in shower, bright reading lights (not always a feature in hotels). The Original PDX diner is directly connected and has the most accommodating and cheerful staff we've...

I had a room with 2 queen beds and one of the largest bathrooms I've ever enjoyed in a hotel. The room was very quiet, the hotel is less than a block from the Max rail system. I've trained myself to think that Courtyard Marriott's are nothing special, and to not have any expectations when staying at one. This hotel is an exception to that policy--I was thoroughly impressed my whole stay.
