I have always loved staying at this property. Before I lived in Portland, I traveled here several times with work and always stayed at the Vintage. During the pandemic, I've found it to be a wonderful reprieve from my day to day. We've stay-cationed here a couple of times and the staff and services did not disappoint. During the winter we took advantage of the hot chocolate bar which was amazing and more recently, we bought the candles that were locally made! I'm a sucker for extras and while I didn't try it the last time I stayed, I am eager to get the movie night package - especially because it comes with board games. The hotel is clean, staff in friendly, rooms are cute and styled well. All in all, the vintage is one of my favorite hotels in Portland, and especially for a stay cation!

This hotel was beautiful but what made the stay was the staff. The people are amazing from per-arrival emails to arrival and departure. They seemed to like what they do and it shows. We can’t wait to come back!

I’d like to start off saying I truly wish I could give this hotel a better rating. My last visit there was excellent a few years back and I had chosen this hotel for an extended stay for exactly that reason despite the paper thin walls. Unfortunately after some time it became apparent there was a lack of adequate management. Marjorie the rooms manager lacks the knowledge behind the basic principles of hospitality. I felt so uncomfortable I cut my stay short. Blatantly ignoring me, refusal to make eye contact, petty actions (saying she will have someone up with towels and never send someone), lacking basic communication skills, wouldn’t even great me when coming into hotel, the list goes on. On top of that a staff member walked into my room while I was in it. Not okay with me. All over something minor that was never once spoken to me about. Out of spite after check out she charged my card for several hundred dollars without providing a receipt. Childish and unqualified, great lobby though...

Gmocconnell816, I was surprised when reading your review. During your 90 day extended stay at Vintage we moved your room to make sure you had a refreshed space deep cleaned and VIP inspected. I myself inspected your rooms before you were given keys. The 3 party who booked your room booked a basic room type our team made sure you were in an elevated room type during your entire stay. We wanted to make sure you had the extra square footage while at Vintage to make your extended stay more comfortable. I heard serval of your conversation with our staff during your stay including Marjorie none of which had any ill intent or can be classified as rude in any way. If during your extended stay towels were requested and not promptly delivered a call to the desk or stopping by while exiting would have solved this immediately. A guest should never have to ask for an item twice this is not our goal but does happen. We did move your room serval times during your stay as mentioned above to make sure you had a deep cleaned and comfortable setting. We never want to walk in on a guest, safety for our staff is my top priority limiting contact is critical. When a room is moved in the system you are moved from the room you were in to the new inspected room. This move is communicated to our team and we wait 45 min before entering the room moved from after calling and not having the phone answered. Our chief engineer entered the room you were moving from after the 45 min and room was called without being answered. The accusation of "out of spite after check out she charged my card for serval hundred dollars," is not something I take lightly. You had bodega charges during your stay, these are the charges on your card. We would never and have never refused to give anyone a receipt. You are welcome to a detailed receipt at any time, the 3 party paid for your room and tax but not any incidentals. This is why you were charged for the bodega items you charged to your room from our bodega lobby during your stay. Our management team talked specifically about your stay regularly, detailing out your room moves, our deep cleaning protocol, and trying to meet your needs and requests. You wanted to experience our Urban Soak room with the out door hot tub, we found two days mid week we could make this happen for no additional cost to you. You requested a King Reserve Spa Suite while having family over we moved you into this elevated room type at no additional cost. I talked this morning with the Desk Agent who checked you out, you had zero complaints or frustration or issues while departing. The Team at Vintage is professional and cares about our guests experience, we took extra steps to try and make your stay comfortable. I have called and left a voicemail with the number on file asking if you would like to talk about your stay in more detail and giving my direct line. I hope the next hotel you find fits your need and you are comfortable. Enjoy your day, Rachel

Our entire experience with this hotel was fantastic. From the moment of booking the hotel, to Marjorie at the front desk helping us to find the perfect room to upgrade to. The hot tub on the balcony of our room made our trip so luxurious to come home to.

The King Reserve Spa Suite was the perfect place to spend our last night in Portland before heading back to the east coast. We loved the comfortable king size bed and the separate soaking tub was worth it. Housekeeping made sure the room was in perfect order and clean. Everyone we came into contact with was professional and courteous. Overall, The Hotel Vintage is beautiful, luxurious, and very clean which helped us feel safe with all of their COVID 19 precautions.
