We had an amazing time! The cabins are adorable and easily accommodates two families with 4 kids and 2 big dogs. The kitchen was well stocked and modern. The kids loved their circular staircase to their loft (ages 9-12 - would not work well for little ones). There was a large dog bed and dog bowl awaiting our furry children...

On late evening drive in the foothills of Mt. Hood, we stumbled upon this inviting resort around a bend in the road. Cozy room, well-appointed and very clean - entry protected by enclosed walkway that must be very useful during cold weather. Welcoming, fully-stocked bar with quite competent bartender. Continental breakfast somewhat sparse, but adequate. Staff was very pleasant. We...

You couldn't ask for a better wedding location!! Friendly service, wonderful food and majestic views. We stayed in a condo which is roomy. The only negative is the need for better lighting, esp. in te bedrooms.

Rooms and cabins are comfortable and the setting is, as advertised, in the woods. I can't add much to the very positive comments already shared by other travelers. If you need to be near town and trinket shopping this isn't your place. I would add that the menue offered for dinner is outstanding. The quality of the food is such...

Yes – we are in the woods!! The closest “town” if you would call it that, is the small community of Parkdale. It does have several grocery stores, a gas station and a multitude of restaurants and its own brew pub, but if you are looking for tourist/trinket shops, you will have to travel about 23 miles North to Hood...

This was a neat experience. The woodsy exterior was carried inside to the rooms. We stayed in a lodge room (Room 12) on the bottom floor. We had horrible neighbor noise the first night of our stay. There were out-of-control kids next door who kept us awake. The second night was much better--quiet and serene, just the experience we were...

Thank you guys for staying here with us and enjoying our little place in the woods. Since our hotel was built so long ago, the upstairs noise sometimes carries downstairs, which is unfortunate. We literally have recreational opportunities right out the back door – mtn. biking trails as well as hiking trails right behind the restaurant. Thanks for staying with...

Cooper Spur Mountain Resort sits on the east side of the stunning peak of Mount Hood, and provides both hotel-style accommodation and individual cabins. I initially booked in for two nights in one of the hotel rooms, to do some photography on my way through: I'd travelled from Spokane, WA and was quite tired. The room itself was really comfortable...

Not only was it the perfect setting the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. We rented the big house and several lodge rooms and cabins. Total of 42 of us were in...

Many, many thanks to Sara, Jeff, Brad and the great ladies at the front desk for helping me host a great family reunion. Yes – we have to concur! The road is windy, the surprise is spectacular and the hot tubs are most inviting after a great hike! That is just a few reasons why we love where we work! Thank you for such a great review – hope you can come back on the windy road again soon.

Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is a rustic mountain lodge and resort specializing in family vacations, weddings, retreats and group events. Located on the magnificent north side of Mt. Hood and set in the midst of the beautiful Mt. Hood National Forest, our lodge is surrounded by pine trees with views of three different mountain peaks; Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Rainier. Just 23 miles south of Hood River, Oregon, and 12 miles from Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort, Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is ideal for those seeking year- round mountain adventures. It's a quick and easy 90 minute drive from Portland, yet is secluded to allow guests to remove themselves from their stressful daily lives to enjoy the surrounding nature. Accommodations include lodge hotel rooms, lodge condos, cabins, and a 4-bedroom log home (perfect for large families or corporate retreats). The peeled log structures present a charm and elegance you would expect in this mountain environment. All units have woodburning fireplaces with the exception of our lodge hotel rooms. All of our units also have refrigerators so guests can bring along meals and snacks. The lodge condos and cabins have kitchenettes and the 4-bedroom log house has a fully-equipped kitchen; ideal for extended stays. ... more   less
