This motel is an older motel and definitely shows it inside the room. When we walked into the "non-smoking" room we immediately smelled a musty odor. There were several gouges in the sheetrock walls as well as other areas where the paint had peeled off. The sheetrock above the bathtub was peeling and we found a cigarette butt under a...

I stumbled on this great hotel with a week in Newport. The views of the ocean are amazing, the cleanliness is excellent, and the staff more than accommodating. The pool is sheer heaven, and there is an elevator for those of us on the third floor. I will stay here again!!!

Spent a couple nights and despite the poor weather we fit in some time in the salt water pool and spa. The room had a great view and all the basics. The continental breakfast was up to par and housekeeping was helpful.

The reviews were very mixed for this hotel, but I for one do not know why. The room was pretty basic and dated but very clean with a wonderful view, nice bed, and good shower. the pool and hot tub were very nice. Breakfast was basic, but just what I was expecting. The staff was very friendly. The only small...

The Waves is a very nice place with a nice, but not great location (it's next to, but not on the beach, separated by a road/driveway and and a lawn). The rooms have old fashioned windows that actually open to hear the ocean surf! A very nice feature. And the rooms have small fridges, microwaves, and coffee makers. They are...

Beautiful view! Quiet location! All in a peaceful seaside town. Yes, it is an older property. You are getting an ocean-view room for the same price as some of the branded hotels up on the main drag (Hwy 101). It was clean, each room accessible from outside, really nice breakfast included! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

I have read several of the reviews prior to mine and think people are a bit hyper critical. Yes, it is an older property and not the Hilton, more of the Super 8 side of the scale. I liked the place, an ocean view for this price was hard to find. It was on a quiet street away from the...

I can't tell people to absolutely not book this hotel. What I would like to tell them is what they are getting and then they can decide. I've stayed at some very fine hotels right on the beach and you really pay through the nose for that. My wife and I wanted to get away for one night, needed a...

Very nice location on a quiet beach in the quaint walkable section of Newport near Nye Beach. The room was very large and had everything you need. It did have an old style TV not a flat. Everything was very clean. Staff was nice. The only issues are the walls are very thin, we could hear people walking around loudly...
