My wife and I greatly enjoyed staying, regrettably just the one night, at this hotel 'out of time'. Still in the old almost European style, with each room dedicated to local figures of historical significance, it has a number of unusual facilities, especially the sitting/reading room, which feels just like the members room of a London club.

The hotel was so affordable for our stay and the location was great. The only downside was no bathroom in the rooms, but we managed. The hotel has so much history and is so unique! We felt safe and the hotel employees were very polite.

My husband and I formerly resided in McMinnville, so we are familiar with the area. We selected Hotel Oregon for a two-night stay based on location, and it's overall quirky appeal. We reserved a queen room with a private bath. I really wanted to love staying there, but upon entering our room, the coverlet on the bed had a noticeable... More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your visit as much as you hoped. I have passed on your comments to our Hotel Manager, and she will be following up with the housekeeping staff. We make every effort to insure cleanliness in our rooms. As for your champagne, we provide ice buckets, but without... More

I love this hotel on many different levels. I can't really explain the experience you just have to go there and have it. It's an old hotel and the theme is 1950 flying saucer maybe. It's incredible hotel and has a great restaurant but the gym at the place is the bar on the roof oh my gosh it takes... More

Thank you so much for your review! We are glad to hear you love this old building as much as we do. As for the UFO's, the Rooftop Bar is the perfect vantage point for alien spotting! More

Look: It's old, and funky, and the rooms are on the small side with creaky floors and such- but that is what you should expect when you do your research. A funky old hotel. It is the staff that stand out here, everyone is kind and accommodating and hard working. I agree it is not the best choice for the... More

Can't sleep. I have killed 3 large bugs so far. Bed is hard. Rooms are small. No tv. Food was awful. I would leave now if it wasn't 1 am. Old hotel with visual charm, but I am never coming back. Booked two nights but I am checking out in morning.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that your stay wasn't what you hoped for. Although we do not have issues with insects in the building, there are times that people leave their windows open, possibly letting in unwanted visitors. I appreciate you letting us know your experience and we will make every effort to correct anything... More

We just stayed here for a couple nights while in the Willamette Valley to get our wine on. We thought this would be a good base to stay for a good price since the prices of this hotel are considerably less than other places in the valley. The hotel of course has their signature whimsical decor as their other hotels... More

We have stayed and eaten at other McMenamins, and this fits right in. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was quite good. They even provided earplugs - it is noisy on the street side. Especially the leaf blowers at 6:30 in the morning. No chance of sleeping through that! McMinnville is a cute little town and there are... More

The Hotel Oregon is a historic hotel with all the quirks you should expect. It does not try to be a 300/night b&b. If that's what you're looking for you won't have far to look in wine country. This is our fourth visit at this pet friendly hotel. The rooms at the price point we like (100 - 120 /night)... More

We've just left Hotel Oregon with mixed feelings. The town of McMinnville itself is fantastic and well worth the visit. Great Main Street that is very enjoyable walking and very friendly folks. The Hotel is a classic old historic property that has been carefully and by in large successfully renovated by the McMenamins group. At check-in we were greeted and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On McMinnville's charming, old main street, Hotel Oregon strikes an inviting pose - as it has since 1905. Once home to a restaurant and lounge, banquet hall, Greyhound bus depot, Western Union, soda fountain and beauty parlor, the handsome four-story building we call Hotel Oregon is a delightful destination in the heart of Oregon's wine country.Warm lighting in the first floor pub, cozy tables and an impressive 40-foot long back bar invite close conversation over the glint of a fresh pint or maybe a game of shuffle board in the Paragon room. Artwork and wall hangings inspire thoughts of the past and a trip to the subterranean bistro-style Cellar Bar or magnificent Rooftop Bar (with its breathtaking 360-degree view of the region) are a must for any visitor to the hotel. ... more   less
