Chinook Winds Casino Resort Hotel is an outstanding option for beachfront accommodations in Lincoln City. Our warm and friendly staff is ready to welcome you to our resort with multiple restaurants, arcade, child care facility, casino, 18-hole golf course, fitness center and complimentary on-site shuttle service. Hunt for glass floats on the beach, curl up with a cup of coffee and watch the waves, hit a bucket of balls in our indoor driving range, take in a show or enjoy the 24-hour gaming action. It is all available to you at Chinook Winds Casino Resort, where it is better at the beach!
We were in building D which is the closest to the casino ,and that was nice as we did not need to use the shuttle. We had a little tiny room with a view of the parking lot. It was clean and inexpensive. When you book a room with no ocean view they mean it,we had a parking lot view. But we walked to the front of the building and there is the ocean all beautiful. The only thing I did not like about the room is there was no lock on the inside,so when we heard the extremely loud staff in the morning we were afraid they were going to barge in on us. Overall this was nice and we will stay again.
Bitter cold night, but our room was cozy. I was not too sure about there only being a thin blanket on the bed, but the heater worked great. It was quiet and warm. I just wish it had not been on the 3rd floor. My knee was screaming at me.
My wife and I stayed two nights, three days on a special of only $69. We had a Junior Suite on the third floor with a ocean view. We had asked for the third floor, and they were very gracious in getting us one. The room was a little dated with some apparent updates. But it was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. The folks we dealt with were very friendly.
The only negative, was that they have to do a better job cleaning up what I'd imagine is the none stop seagull and pigeon mess on the walkways and stairs. Also the windows facing the ocean was a mess.
The good: very nice staff, good sized room (we got the junior suite), hotel restaurant had good food and fast room service, great location, beautiful beach.
The bad: paid more to have the junior suite, only to arrive and see that over half our view was blocked by a 3 story building directly in front of our room, couldn't see the sunsets at all. Room was dirty and dated, thick ring of grime and hair around tub, had to call for them to clean it, shower walls were filthy, could hear every footstep from neighbors above, wifi was super slow and constantly disconnected, mattresses were low quality and you could feel the springs, my husband's back was screwed up all weekend from the beds, lumpy pillows, and cheap, thin bedding. Have stayed in many hotels, this was not worth the money at all.
We like the selection of slot machines here. They do have all the gambling games, like Vegas. I have won and lost here. The Rogue River steakhouse has been remodeled and menu updated. Nice selection of appetizers, entrees and wine list. We had the prime rib and filet, which was very good . The view is nice of the ocean. They have a bar area which does happy hour drinks/food. There is a seafood restaurant which is not in the casino, you walk a little way outside to it. They have entertainment so check out the website.
