We really enjoyed our stay, our second stay at Pelican Shores. We had a one-bedroom king suite on the lower floor. This really is oceanfront, photos I posted are views from our room's porch. A couple things to know before you book: -The hotel's access to the beach is down about 50 steps to the beach, which I knew before I booked, but worth mentioning if you are looking for easier access. -There is also no AC in the room (we didn't need it) but they do provide box fans in the room, or just open your sliding glass door and let the ocean breeze in. -There is no elevator access to the lower floor, it is stairs only, so if you need easier access, be sure you book parking lot level or above, that has elevator service. The staff was very friendly as were fellow travelers staying there. The towels were the softest I think I've had in a hotel in a long time, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. However, please fix the sliding glass door lock in room 101, it is very loose. One minor bummer that is not the hotel's fault-the smell of someone smoking pot near us as I was sitting on our porch. I know it's legal, but I shouldn't have to get a whiff of it on a nonsmoking property.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in a 1 bedroom with two queens and it was perfect for a girls weekend! Right on the beach and the tide came almost to the stairs that lead from the hotel to the beach. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We saw people using the pool but didn't swim this time. The room was comfortable with very comfy beds and enough of a kitchenette to store leftovers, store snacks, and make hot cocoa! We have already booked a 2nd trip back!

This is a smaller, older hotel at the north end of town. The hotel seemed cozy and very quiet with no sounds coming from upstairs or next door keeping me awake at night. Our room had a balcony and a kitchenette. The pandemic-inspired breakfast had a variety of items all pre-packaged. Coffee available all day. There is an elevator although I didn't see it in the hotel description. We had a pleasant overnight stay and will definitely stay here again.

The room had no carpet. The floor was not clean & made our feet dirty walking on it. The decor was dated & nothing matched. The T.V. was computer sized.. I would have accepted it more if it wasn't a pricey $267 on a Tuesday night for two Queen beds. At that price I expect a comfortable interior & clean floors. I told the desk perso. The next day & she said she would make note of it.

We enjoyed our stay at Pelican Shores for the amazing view. The room was clean, and there were enough towels and bath amenities for our two nights stay. There is no housekeeping because of COVID. Also, the breakfast isn't much, and if you don't like carbs, you are out of luck. Did I mention the view?
