This place is very charming and fun! Staff is friendly and the pizza was very very good! Nice little bar with wine and beer. We sat at the outdoor fire pits and enjoyed our evening. The rooms are clean and cozy. Beds are nice and comfortable. We will be back!!

Anchor Inn is a historic property. As such, when we checked into our rooms, something wasn’t quite right. We talked to the ‘captain’ on duty, who talked to the owner, and very quickly, we were offered an alternative to our original plans. Stuff happens, esp. at an older property, and the reason I gave this resort 5 stars is because they responded quickly and with grace. My family ended up having a lovely evening around one of their fire pits, roasting marshmallows and making S’mores with the kits provided in our rooms. The resort is comfortable, charming, the staff is awesome, and the amenities, like S’more kits, are unique and fun. I would highly recommend this property, especially for families. We have stayed many times with our kids and grandkids and they all love exploring the many interesting nautical displays, playing the provided outdoor games and hanging at the fire pit. There is also a great cafe across the street for eating meals.

Great place to stay! We stayed in cabin #2 extremely clean, pet friendly. The amenities are out of this world! From game rooms, laundry, fire pits, movies, close beach access you definitely won’t get bored. The only complaint we had was the size of the shower! If you’re a bigger person, taller or claustrophobic this could be a problem! With that being said, and as much as I do disliked the shower you can’t beat the amenities and location! We’ve already booked another week in August!

While the previous incarnation of the hotel was charming with its over the top quirkiness, we appreciate the new owners’ updates which maintain the uniqueness of the place (it’s probably much easier to clean without all the knickknacks) but present new amenities like fire pits and s’mores kits. The upcoming wine bar (with pizza!) will be a great touch. The bed was really comfy but like one reviewer mentioned, we should have chosen a cabin with a sitting area/couch vs. two sleeping areas (if available.) We met the new owners and they were lovely. They even offered to make us a fire. They have a cute honor system store which has chips and ice cream and soda. We also took advantage of the DVD library which made for a couple of cozy nights. If you catch a break in the rain, we recommend the walk down to the beach behind the property, then along beach toward Moe’s, where you can head back to town and then grab some coffee at Pacific Grinds. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy the property more post COVID and loved our stay.

Felt very at-home in a wonderful suite on the second floor overlooking an outdoor gathering area. Welcome amenities were fun and delicious. Wonderful way to spend our 27th wedding anniversary. Mid-century kitsch without chintz. Looking for an excuse to return with friends.
