Seagull Motel is a registered historical landmark, established in the early 1900’s, which has been in our family since the Spring of 1982. We continue to operate the Seagull Motel under the family values with which we began all those years ago, happily including three generations working together. The Seagull Motel has a variety of rooms to fit your needs. Options including in-room spas, fireplaces, kitchens and deck hot tubs are available. Regardless of which room you choose, you will be treated to miles of an amazing oceanfront view. The Seagull Motel is situated on the beach, and next to the only beach access road available in Northern Oregon for you to drive your vehicle right onto the beach itself. Come and visit us at the Seagull Motel and meet the family. Soak in the ocean with each incoming wave and be refreshed with the coastal air!

It's been a good long while since I've stayed a hotel in Lincoln City so thought I'd stay at a quaint little place I found a few years ago ....and unwittingly made a reservation at the Seagull Motel instead. The Staff were very nice and personable & the view/location can't be beat. Beautiful ocean view just above the area of the beach that allows cars. This can be interesting as cars get stuck and tow trucks drive out to the rescue. It was nice to set the chairs (covered in towels) in front of the windows to watch the people & the surf. Unfortunately, my room was absolutely disgusting. It smelled like someone saturated the room with Febreeze. It was windy at the coast so I opened up the windows in hopes of airing the stink of cheap air freshener out but after two hours, the smell was still nauseatingly strong. The carpet & the chairs were discolored & stained. I placed towels over the chairs in order to sit in front of the ocean front windows. Took my shoes off for bit in order to change clothes and stepped in a large wet area on the rug. I told myself it was a puddle of Febreeze and put on new socks. The idea of sleeping in the bed was not at all appealing at this point. Thankfully, my dog's waterproof blanket and extra camping gear in my car so I was able to lay the waterproof blanket over the bed & use my sleeping bag on top of it. -Toilet did not flush well & had to double flush every time I used. -Water pressure & hot water were good. -Put my left over lunch in the mini-refrigerator (middle shelf) and by the time I pulled it out for dinner it was really, really cold. Peeked in the door but did not see a knob to adjust the temperature so I put my food on the lowest shelf, furthest away from the freezer. The next morning my food was frozen. This would have been okay since there's a microwave ....but I blew a breaker while blow drying my hair which killed the power in my room. There were two breakers in the room (no door/cover over them) so tried flipping them. One was for the bathroom area so I was able to finish drying my hair. No idea what the other breaker was for. It did not restore power to my room so the heater, lights, microwave & refrigerator were out of commission .....so no left overs for breakfast. It was 9am and the office was not open so I could not tell anyone about the power in my room. I put my keys in the drop slot and left.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed one night Saturday. Stayed on 3rd floor , wonderful views of the wind swept beach and pounding waves. Location pretty good for walking to places to eat and drink. Its an old hotel and of course the rooms are not up to modern standards, but our room seemed newly painted and the beds were comfortable. Welcome was efficient but gruff..don't worry its a "Coastie" thing! Didn't mind it at all..had a nice nights sleep. Not a classy place but OK 3.5/5

Pros: 1. Staff is very nice - from phone call reservation over a month ago to check-out. 2. Location/views! See photos. Cons of Room 104: The most outdated place I have ever stayed!! (The age of the building isn’t a factor because I’ve stayed in some older than the Seagull.) Besides the musty/stuffy smell, which is somewhat expected.... -“Fireplace” is just a tiny electric one. -Interior paint was either peeling or stained or both. The wallpaper is smoke-stained. -I was afraid to walk on the (1970s dark blue) carpet without shoes. Random cigarette burns and definitely not cleaned in decades. -I’m sure the bathroom used to be a closet! It is right as you walk in the front door, only has a toilet and shower (as small as one in a RV). The shower is moldy all around the ceiling. -The only sink was in the bedroom area so you had to walk down a short hall to wash your post-potty hands or brush your teeth. -The 3 tiny windows near the floor didn’t have screens so we either had to deal with bugs or a super-stuffy room. No fans or other method of cooking. (It appears that the entire motel is void of all window screens). -The baseboard heater was so rusty I would be afraid to turn it on. -The motel allows pets, but doesn’t seem to regulate how many each room has or if they’re quiet! -The deck on the ocean side seems a bit unstable in places so be careful! Definitely “Splinterville!”

We stayed in room 110 on July 5th. The room wasn’t clean, no ac unit so they leave a fan to put in the window which is DISGUSTING (pictures attached) so you didn’t want to use the fan because it was so gross so the room was miserable to be in. I felt gross letting my kids play on the floor, the carpet is so gross! Then the next morning we go to take showers and NO hot water. So we had to wash our hair in iced cold water. By the time we checked out they had the hot water heater fixed. The lady at the front desk said “oh sorry about the hot water heater, I guess it’s like camping” such poor customer service! 😡 No discount or anything offered! So disappointing

The view couldn't have been better. Beach access was perfect. The outside of the hotel looks recently updated. The inside wasn't bad but it was definitely not good. The electrical situation was sketchy as was the lighting. The microwave and fridge were plugged into a small power strip which is probably not a great idea. The room seemed like a movie out of a 70's B movie sex scene. Cheap mirror type material surrounding the very large jetted tub. The tub seemed clean but the steam showed all of the writing on the steamy "mirrors". The bed had this same mirror stuff with a light in it. There was one other can light on the other wall. The bed was not very comfortable. I just didn't feel comfortable here. Unless this place gets a remodel I won't be back.
