Blood/ketchup and hair in the tub, blood or something else gross on the bedskirt. Smell of weed and cigarettes through the ventilation system. Parking lot is too small so I had to walk quite far from the street to find a place to park. Breakfast was a yogurt and an orange in a bag. No coffee or waters. They said to make coffee and use the tap. Staff would not provide breakfast after 9am--I had just asked for a yogurt at 915 and was told no. The wood railings were rotting and the HVAC system was loud and intermittent. 2 towels, only one bar of soap for toiletries. Many people are clearly living full time here--vodka bottles everywhere. Bad housekeeping, dishes were dirty in the dishwasher, appliances from the 70s.

I would not stay here again. The whole property is badly showing its age-- appliances and tubs, sinks, fixtures are 30-40 years old and the exterior is showing signs of rot. The windows are fogged from failing seals and the screen doors have large tears in them. This was not an inexpensive room and I am disappointed in the quality of the room and facility for the price I paid. The pictures on the website were very deceiving. There is ample room for a party of three, but given the state of the room we spent as little time as possible onsite.

Furniture that's 20-30 yrs old, antique kitchen appliances, dirty/rusting stairwells, piss poor housekeeping, a defeaning bathroom fan, torn window screens, even the grounds have been neglected for months. They didn't even provide 1 fire log for the fire place - had to hunt down a grocery store and buy a fire log! Marriott definitely needs to kick this place from the Marriott brand!!!

The staff at this Marriot property is fantastic! In the days of covid and features being limited by the government (limited breakfast and closed pool), this staff is professional and will try to make your stay a good one by working hard to meet your needs. I know this is crazy, but if you ask nicely and treat their staff with respect, they will work hard for you! We choose this property because of the location, separate entrances, single-unit HVAC, and spacious rooms. Upon arriving, we notice that the grounds are maintained well, our room was very clean, and the property is near two highways, so you have easy access to get anywhere in the city! We enjoyed our stay here! The only con is the room was dated, but that can be fixed with an investment by the owners. Again, the staff is excellent, and they're doing a great job, thank you and see you again!

Family of 4. Chose this property for the location and size. Probably the worst value Marriott property I have stayed and I have stayed at quite a few. Problems: 1) limited parking. Come on, for >$200/night in a Portland suburb, I should have a place to park my single vehicle. Nope. Parked on the street every night because every spot was full. I get it, a lot of people are living here full time. But, this is too much to be paying to walk several blocks to my unit. 2) no breakfast buffet. I understand, the state is keeping you from having it. But really, some granola bars and apples and oranges is your replacement for the kind of $$? Very inadequate. 3) housekeeping? Requested towels in person after 3 days. No show. Housekeeping only comes every 4 days on request? What am I paying $200+ a night for? 4) dated. Mostly clean, but hairs on shower walls gross. Again, why am I paying $200+/night? We left a day early. Not what I expect from Marriott.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Residence Inn Portland South/Lake Oswego and providing your honest feedback. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. We have has an extremely high occupancy for the last few months and I apologize that our parking area was full during your stay. Our grab and go breakfast option is rotational so each morning there is a different option, I apologize the granola bars and fruit were not to your liking. As a teachable moment, we have shared your feedback with the appropriate hotel team to ensure the necessary guidelines are in place to prevent these sorts of issues from occurring in the future. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us during these unusual times.
