We have been to Jacksonville to visit friends a few times over the years, but this was our first stay at the J'Ville Inn. Located on the main street of Jacksonville, you are right in the center of action and can walk to most of the local restaurants, bars and quaint shops. We had tickets to Britt Festival one of...

Of all the places we have visited, Jacksonville Inn is by far our favorite. A perfect weekend would be to stay 2 nights in one of their beautiful, historic rooms, or better yet, stay on one of their delightful cottages. Breakfast is free and is always amazing with fresh fruit, fresh scones and a full hot breakfast of your choosing....

My husband and I have stayed at the historic Jacksonville Inn many times in the last 5 years. We've stayed in the hotel and and also in several of the cottages. Every room we've stayed in have been beautifully decorated. We've enjoyed delicious meals at their restaurant for dinner. Breakfast is included and my husband always orders the Almond Croissant...

On our way from the Seattle area to California a friend recommended stopping in at the Jacksonville Inn. We made reservations en route, upon our arrival we were informed of an upgrade to the Honeymoon Cottage! Wow! What a wonderful introduction to Jacksonville! We will be back for the Britt concerts next summer!

No matter what your occasion might be, this place is perfect! We celebrated on a Sunday morning - going into afternoon - for our anniversaries. We ate outside and it couldn't have been more delicious or festive! They took all six of us in without a moments' notice. Our wait staff was right on and they never flinched. The food?...

As usual in any trip we go on I always try and find a haunted hotel in a town were we are staying, and the Jacksonville Inn, OR just happened to be a overnight stay on our road trip to Seattle to attend a wedding. So 7 hours driving from Monterey we had a reservation for one night stay at...

Response to Paula Z, Monterey, CA “Haunted night at the Jacksonville Inn” I personally do not believe in ghosts. In the 40 years that my wife and I have owned the Jacksonville Inn, we have spent many nights at the Jacksonville Inn and have not experienced “ghosts.” A few years ago, I was asking a couple of our guests how...

We have stayed at the Jacksonville Inn many times, as we frequently attend Britt concerts. The rooms at the Inn are excellent...clean, quiet, and comfortable. On this occasion we decided to upgrade for a more secluded, romantic weekend, and we stayed in one of the cottages. We were 100% satisfied with our decision, it was expensive but worth every penny...

We stayed two nights in Room #5 while in Jacksonville to attend a concert at The Britt. As in most historic hotels, the room was small. It had a tiny bathroom with a shower in bad need of refurbishment. Bathroom sink is located in the room. Be aware there is no elevator in this hotel and rooms are located upstairs....

I am pleased that our guests from Idaho enjoyed our staff. We receive many accolades about our wonderful employees. There certainly are concessions to be made when operating a historic Inn that was built when Abraham Lincoln was alive. Because of the historic nature of The Inn, we are unable to provide an elevator to the second floor. We always...

Can't get any better than this. Wonderful ambiance, exquisite food, and great service. We prefer the patio or downstairs dining area. Also, check out the wine shop upstairs. Good selection and prices.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Housed in one of gold-rush Jacksonville's early permanent structures, the Jacksonville Inn perpetuates the nostalgic romances of that era. Built in 1861, the walls of the dining area and lounge were built of locally quarried sandstone, and specks of gold are still visible in the mortar. The town is the first in America to be named a National Historic Landmark, and Jacksonville has preserved its 19th Century charm.Located in the heart of this national landmark town, The Inn is an elegant historic bed and breakfast featuring luxurious Honeymoon Cottages. Gerry Frank of the Portland Oregonian named the Inn as the "Most Romantic" lodging in Oregon. As one of Oregon's most acclaimed restaurants, it received the Medford Mail Tribune's "Readers' Choice Award" for five consecutive years as "Best Restaurant." The Wine and Gift Shop has over 2,000 wines and received Wine Spectator magazine's "Best of Award of Excellence," one of 600 in the world. ... more   less
