I travel to Medford, OR on business and have been staying at the historic Jacksonville Inn for eleven years. Each room is decorated with a 19th century flair, but has all of the amenities you want. There is a wonderful restaurant and bar downstairs and a large wine shop, along with a separate dining room for breakfast and lunch. The...

This restaurant is quaint, situated in the basement of an historic building with one stone wall. The menu choices are interesting--blue cheese brulee--and varied. The food is very good and the service is friendly. I love the setting. It's romantic and unique. I recommend a visit when you are in the area.

My wife and I stayed in the Presidential Cottage. The cottage is very private, comfortable and well laid-out . Jacksonville is a great little town to walk. It has lots of tourist shops and attractions in the local area.

Jacksonville is exceptional. The dining room is beautiful, quaint and with a bit of old-time structure and ambiance. The waitstaff is friendly and professional. They make you feel as if you were a special guest of the Inn, even when you are just in town to shop and want a bite to eat! The food is delicious and beautifully, artistically...

My wife and I went up to Jacksonville so I could give a whisky presentation. To say my wife was less than enamoured of the trip would be an understatement. But from the very friendly young man a reception in the hotel shop to first seeing the cottage that all changed and she even said to me on walking into...

We celebrated our anniversary at the Jacksonville Inn Restaurant recently, and found it to be perfection, again. Colin, our server, remembered our likes and dislikes from a previous time when he waited on us, OVER A YEAR AGO! The food was superb, highlighted by our entrees of salmon and pertrale sole. Our wine was a nice pinot noir from Martello...

This is the most charming, historic B&B ever! By chance we found the Inn. Located in Jacksonville, this charming, well maintained B&B offers fine dining (Micah is a wonderful server with lots of local history), bistro and bar, and a superb wine shop. Shopping and restaurants are within easy walking distance. We stayed in one of four Cottages, each with...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Housed in one of gold-rush Jacksonville's early permanent structures, the Jacksonville Inn perpetuates the nostalgic romances of that era. Built in 1861, the walls of the dining area and lounge were built of locally quarried sandstone, and specks of gold are still visible in the mortar. The town is the first in America to be named a National Historic Landmark, and Jacksonville has preserved its 19th Century charm.Located in the heart of this national landmark town, The Inn is an elegant historic bed and breakfast featuring luxurious Honeymoon Cottages. Gerry Frank of the Portland Oregonian named the Inn as the "Most Romantic" lodging in Oregon. As one of Oregon's most acclaimed restaurants, it received the Medford Mail Tribune's "Readers' Choice Award" for five consecutive years as "Best Restaurant." The Wine and Gift Shop has over 2,000 wines and received Wine Spectator magazine's "Best of Award of Excellence," one of 600 in the world. ... more   less
