I stayed at this campground before it was a KOA and also last summer when it was a KOA. The differences were since it was turned into a KOA is better numbering of campsites and big price increase to camp. I chose to camp there because of the convienence of water and electrical hookups but for the price now it is not worth it
Extremely dusty, below average campground, very little gravel - just dirt and more dirt, weeds with stickers, no dog park, extremely tight fit for big rigs 40+, located way out in the boondocks. No restaurants or facilities nearby. Very disappointing experience.
This campground is spectacular and far enough away from the crowds that you really feel like you are getting away from everything. This is the only campground/resort on Lake Lemolo so the lake is not overcrowded or noisy. The lake is pristine and the fishing is excellent for rainbow trout and brown trout. A short hike in any direction puts you completely in the wilderness. The facilities here are spotless and the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The small store is well stocked with various items from food to souvenirs. This campground is very family-friendly and was very quiet at night. Rented one of their boats to take out on the lake and it worked well and was reasonably priced. I will definitely be back!
We stayed at Lemolo Lake KOA last week in an A-frame cabin and it was perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of room with 3 queen beds and we had a nice bathroom. These are basic cabins but we had originally planned to camp in a tent so it was almost like 'glamping' to have a cabin with hot water showers, heat and a kitchenette. We also made a campfire and had smores. We could see the lake from our front window and it seemed very private. (the best of both worlds). The kids rented kayaks and enjoyed exploring the lake. There were mosquitoes but we had spray repellent and bought some coiled repellent from the store and that worked great. You definitely need to buy your food before you get there...but the store is great for minor items. Crater Lake is a short drive away which is very convenient. i especially enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings and would definitely go again and stay longer.…
Limited staff at this park, the RV spots are not very well-maintained and the sewer connection is higher than your trailer. We did rent a boat and had a great time one staff member runs pretty much the entire camp and store ...At least while we were there..
