Our New Year's Eve stay was our first at Steamboat Inn. The inn is located on the beautiful North Umpqua River and has been operated by the same owners for the last 40 years. After checking into our comfortable cabin, we went to the library for hors d'overs and wine, then on a family style meal for all in the...

On our way to Klamath Falls from Crater Lake we stopped for a late lunch. An absolutely beautiful spot. Lovely gardens and so peaceful. I had the best chili ever. Don't pass this by. Next visit I will book a cabin.

It's unique in several ways. The cabins are charming. There are five sets of duplex cabins all connected on the riverside by one long patio/walkway. Each cabin has a couple of chairs and tables. The sets of chairs are spaced far enough apart from each other to give each cabin quite a bit of privacy on the patio away from...

We drove past going into Crater Lake but stopped for breakfast on our way out of Crater Lake. What a lovely facility!! Breakfast choices were interesting and service was top-notch. We were shown the idyllic gardens - so well maintained. This entire place was spotless. Wish we could have tried to stay here overnight. We were very impressed by the...

Stopped by for lunch and ate outdoors in the beautifully landscaped yard. Our waitress was delightful and the food was excellent. What we saw of the Inn itself is very nicely decorated, clean, and welcoming. We want to stay there next time we're in the area.

After driving for a week all around Oregon we stopped for a relaxing night at the Steamboat Inn in Idlelyd Park, on the way from the Redwoods area to Crater Lake. This is a gorgeous inn with semi attached cottages. The scenery, right on the Umpqua River is stunning. Our unit had a shared porch that looks out onto the...

Didn't stay the night there, but stopped for breakfast on the way to Crater Lake. Almost missed it, didn't seem to be any signage or advance advertising. Glad we didn't pass it up though. Food was excellent, plentiful portions and decent variety. Service was OK, they seemed more interested in the people who stayed at the lodge, but still well...

We were very excited to have a hotel option when visiting Crater Lake. We rented a house at the Steamboat Inn with a couple we were traveling with. Very nice and clean house along the river. House had washer and dryer, full kitchen, and hit the spot for what we needed. The restaurant on site was really good and everyone...

This Inn consists of houses and cottages in a remote area along the Umpqua River. The houses are on one side of the river, the cottages on the other, and the main office is a short distance down the main road. You can hire a guide to take you fly fishing as there are signs everywhere that "angling is prohibited"...
