Stayed 1 night for a wedding near Mt. Hood. Gorgeous views sitting atop of Hood River- We stayed in the most affordable room so I knew we wouldn't be getting a view which was fine by me since it was just overnight - but a few steps away I was able to sit on one of those adirondack chairs with...

We stayed a few nights as a base for hiking the gorge and wine tasting. I would have liked to be closer to restaurants but this was a fine location. The staff was nice and the rooms are very clean. I would go again. We had a standard king on the second floor and our shared terrace had a river...

Dear NWlivin, Thanks for making us (and Hood River) your base camp...I never liked tents either. If you have not already discovered "Curious Gorge", it's a great Columbia River Gorge hiking book. We have an office copy for your use when visiting and also sell them in our lobby if anyone needs a copy for before arrival. Even though there...

This property sits on the edge of the massive Columbia Gorge River so if you have a river front condo then the view is wonderful. If you do not then...... The condominiums/apartments are out of town so you will need a car to get out and about to bars ,restaurants and the nice shops of Hood River A busy road...

Dear voa, Thank you for your positive comments. While taxi and limo services are available, we encourage visitors to rent a car to more thoroughly explore the Columbia River Gorge area. Even though our guests can enjoy fine and casual (indoor and outdoor) dining in the adjacent historic hotel building, downtown Hood River is a mile away and offers many...

Beautiful spa like feel with a gorgeous view of the Columbia Gorge. The place has a Spanish Colonial feel with white washed walls, espresso cabinets and granite counters. Our unit had a kitchenette complete with Keurig coffee maker and real glassware and plate settings for 4. King bed was very comfortable with down pillows and nice linens. Bathroom and shower...

Dear Jennelle5, Thank you for visiting and sharing your positive experience. Parking can be a bit tight during peak season but we do have two adjacent overflow areas...and unlike city hotels...they are all free! Hope to see you again soon. Happy travels, Steve Tessmer, GM

The property has the main highway on one side and the rail track the other so expect noise. It looks like a motel and first impressions are not good. Also despite being told the units were soundproofed, they are not, as TV / music from the adjoining units was a nuisance. The bed was good but sleep quality poor due...

Dear TravelersinStyle, I am very sorry that we could not accommodate your request to upgrade to the Penthouse level. While we are conveniently located near a highway, most of our rooms are completely isolated from road noise and enjoy an incredible view of the Columbia River Gorge. As you can read in several previous reviews, many guests have enjoyed the...

Great stay at this upscale villa. Room had a stove, microwave small fridge Fire place and kurig coffee maker. If you stay on the riverside the view is spectacular of the river and the state of Washington. You can get your meals at an equally beautiful facility right next door. I recommend at least one meal there as the restaurant...

Very nice room and friendly staff. The location is a little bit strange, but it was very convenient for a wedding we were going to. Not in the heart of everything, but gorgeous views. You definitely need a car if you're staying here so you can get to the heart of the town and explore there.

Dear Caroline L, Thanks for sharing your positive experience. Your tip about the car is a good one. While our cliff-edge location has several wining and dining options within walking distance and is only a mile from downtown Hood River, the Columbia River Gorge stretches for 85 miles. There is so much to see and do in this National Scenic...

This was a nice place overlooking the Gorge. But it is not in town and going anywhere requires driving. Also be very picky about the room you book. The one we had was 40-50 feet from the on ramp for the interstate and at the same level. Everyone driving by had a perfect view into our room, so we had...

Dear xyzxyzxyz, Thanks for staying with us. Busy weekends over summer sometimes push a few late arrivals into our overflow parking areas but all our guests enjoy convenient free parking. We were thankful the Columbia Cliff Villas had one last room available for a Saturday night.
