Gold Beach Resort has been our go-to place to stay on the coast for at least 10 years. Unfortunately, some things seem to have gotten worse over the years. We still did thoroughly enjoy our stay, but here are a few of the differences we noticed in comparison to previous years. The rooms at GBR have always seemed very well-kept,...

This hotel is a good hotel which could be a fantastic hotel with a little TLC. Very large room, with the most fabulous view, bedding was pretty worn and could done with being replaced. The new towels in the bathroom were luxuriously soft and fluffy but they were combined with worn grey ones! The pool area was ok. It was...

This resort brings other hotels to task for what a hundred dollars brings. Ocean front with quick beach access, spacious rooms, continental breakfast which appears to be made at the resort, awesome swimming pool and hot tub which I used while my laundry was going next door. This has everything needed for the frugal person to feel like you got...

The reception lady was very helpful considering our online reservation was never received. From the looks of the parking lot, they had plenty of empty room. The room was large and clean on the surface but could really use some deep cleaning. The room was also well past its prime. The towels were thin, stiff and grey. Some of the...

Thank you for reviewing us on Trip Advisor! Our front desk agents are always willing to help whenever an issue arrives with a guests reservation. We are in the beginning stages of renovating our property which will include starting at the basics. I have spoken to the housekeeping staff about deep cleaning rooms to ensure that they catch anything that...

For the view and service, I would expect to pay twice as much. The room was large, up to date, and very clean. (there was no iron) The breakfast was lacking though. Hard biscuits, green bananas, no meat. Still, worth the price.

Thank you for your great review! We love the view of the ocean from our rooms. When the sun is shinning you can watch the gentle waves roll in from your private balcony, or if it's storming you can sit back and watch the storm over the ocean. It's always a beautiful view! We are going to be adding some...

We initially checked in for one night, but after a wonderful first night, extended our stay for a second night. Bad move! We were in a lower ground room and on the first night we obviously didn't have anyone above us as it was so quiet and peaceful. Second night was a completely different story. Our upstairs neighbours were constantly...

Thank you for the review. I am sorry that you had noisy neighbors during the second night of your stay. You are always welcome to speak to the front desk agents to have us contact any guests that are being loud during quiet hours. I am sorry that the people above you were loud during the middle of the night....

The lady on reception was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. She managed to offer us a choice of rooms without booking. She gave an excellent restaurant recommendation which we tried and loved. The room was clean and well presented overlooking the beach and pacific rollers. Breakfast was good and service was good, I would without hesitation recommend this lovely resort...

Easy check in and out, kids loved the pool and hot tub. Finding our room was confusing because it goes third floor, second floor, and then fifth floor hidden down some secret stairs...where did one and four go? .... We loved the easy beach access, but definitely could have done without finding tons of other peoples trash, popcorn and socks...

I would like to begin by apologizing for the room you were assigned to. I have spoken to the housekeeping department in regards to your experience and ensured that they double check underneath the beds in the lower level as they are the only ones where anything can be trapped under the bed. We understand that the 500s can seem...

Very nice staff; property is a bit tired but the beds were comfortable, room was clean, breakfast was adequate. The dog fee of $20/night seems a bit steep but seems to be the average; convenient to restaurants and attractions

This resort is used by 30+ quilters for a retreat annually. Their conference center is sufficient for all of to set up sewing machines, cutting tables, dining area (no kitchen facilities in here) and two restrooms. It is carpeted and the resort has padded folding chairs for our use. My room, shared with a friend, had two queen size beds...

Thank you for the great review! We love having the quilters guild here for the meetings. We are beginning renovations in the next two months to our whole property. This will include fixing the leaks in the glass dinning house. We are adding fresh paint, new furnishings, as well as new linens and towels to all the rooms. We look...
